Perilaku penelusuran informasi yang dilakukan oleh pegawai desa Jatiluhur
bervariasi sesuai dengan kebutuhan, kepentingan, dan tingkat informasi yang
dibutuhkan. Dalam kesehariannya, para pegawai desa telah memahami cara
menelusuri informasi berdasarkan sumber informasi yang tersedia. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk menggambarkan perilaku penelusuran informasi pegawai di Kantor
Desa Jatiluhur.
Pada penelitian ini perilaku penelusuran informasi yang dilakukan oleh
pegawai desa Jatiluhur dikaji dengan model Leckie menggunakan metode deskriptif
kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara
terstruktur, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Data primer didapatkan dari observasi,
dokumentasi, dan wawancara terstruktur. Sementara itu, data sekunder didapatkan
dari studi pustaka. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian
data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.
Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa perilaku penelusuran informasi pegawai
Kantor Desa Jatiluhur didorong secara fundamental oleh tuntutan peran kerja dan
tugas, baik yang terprediksi maupun insidental, menggunakan berbagai saluran
seperti diskusi rekan kerja, media digital, hingga arsip dinamis yang dipilih
berdasarkan kredibilitas, kemudahan, dan pengalaman keberhasilan. Proses yang
bersifat siklikal ini memegang peran vital dalam mendukung validitas pengambilan
keputusan hukum, penyelesaian sengketa warga, dan efisiensi pelayanan publik.
Pada pelaksanaannya juga menghadapi kendala signifikan berupa manajemen fisik
arsip dinamis yang belum optimal akibat penumpukan volume dan renovasi
gedung, serta tantangan baru di era digital dalam memverifikasi keaslian informasi
visual dari ancaman fabrikasi teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The information-seeking behavior of employees at the Jatiluhur Village Office
varies according to their needs, interests, and the types of information required. In
their daily work, employees demonstrate an understanding of how to seek
information based on the available sources. This study aims to describe the
information-seeking behavior of employees at the Jatiluhur Village Office.
In this study, the information seeking behavior of Jatiluhur village staff was
analyzed using the Leckie Model with a qualitative-descriptive method. The data
collection techniques used included observation, structured interviews,
documentation, and literature studies. Primary data was obtained through
observation, documentation, and structured interviews. Meanwhile, secondary data
was obtained through literature studies. Data analysis was carried out through data
reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.
This study concludes that the information-seeking behaviour of Jatiluhur
Village Office employees are fundamentally driven by job role demands and tasks,
both predictable and incidental, using various channels such as colleague
discussions, digital media, and dynamic records selected based on credibility, ease
of use, and past success. This cyclical process plays a vital role in supporting the
validity of legal decision-making, resolving citizen disputes, and public service
efficiency. In practice, it also encountered significant obstacles in the form of
suboptimal physical records management due to volume accumulation and building
renovations, as well as new challenges in the digital era in verifying the authenticity
of visual information from the threat of Artificial Intelligence (AI) fabrication.
