Proses Kolaborasi Dalam Proyek The Mogus Pada ARTJOG XI (2018)

Penelitian ini menganalisis proses kolaborasi dalam  penciptaan karya Sea Remembers pada proyek The Mogus oleh Mulyana yang dipamerkan dalam ARTJOG XI (2018). Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, studi ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana proses kolaborasi bentuk dan alasan terjadi relasi antara seniman dan partisipan, bagaimana bentuk rekognisi, serta implikasi kolaborasi terhadap kedua pihak. 

Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses kolaborasi bersifat hierarkis dengan sentralitas kreatif pada seniman utama, sementara partisipan tidak hanya berperan dalam eksekusi teknis namun pada beberapa orang terdapat proses sharing sumberdaya (kemampuan dan informasi). Rekognisi ditunjukkan melalui pencantuman nama pada identitas karya, kesepakatan untuk saling membantu dan terdapat kesepakatan dalam hal ekonomi, pengakuan terhadap kontribusi kreatif masih terbatas. 

Implikasi kolaborasi mencakup perluasan jaringan, dan menciptakan bentuk semacam kebersamaan atau dukungan yang terjadi dalam suatu kelompok, namun tidak sepenuhnya mendalam, inklusif, atau berkelanjutan.

This study analyze of the collaborative process in the creating of the artwork Sea Remembers from Mulyana’s The Mogus project, exhibited at ARTJOG XI (2018). Using a qualitative approach, the research examines how the collaborative process shaped the relationships between the artist and the participants, the reasons behind these relationships, the forms of recognition that emerged, and the implications of the collaboration for both parties.

The findings reveal that the collaboration was hierarchical, with creative authority centralized around the lead artist. While participants were primarily involved in technical execution, some also contributed through resource sharing (skills and information). Recognition was accorded through name credits in identity, mutual support agreements, and certain economic arrangements, acknowledgment of creative input remained limited.

The implications of the collaboration included network expansion and the formation of a sense of community and support within the group, though these relationships were not entirely deep, inclusive, or sustainable.
