ABSTARCT/INTISARI Tulisan ini mengungkap hasil penelitian tentang pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap kualitas lingkungan perumahan di Kelurahan Terban, Kecamatan Gondokusuman, Kotamadia Yogyakarta. Tujuannya secara umum mengkaji pengaruh sosio-ekonomis anggota dan tokoh masyarakat terhadap efektifnya penyuluhan perumahan; efektivitas penyuluhan perumahan, partisipasi masyarakat, keberhasilan intervensi inovasi dan pengaruhnya terhadap kualitas lingkungan perumahan; peningkatan kualitas lingkungan perumahan dan pengaruhnya terhadap kenyamanan dan gairah kerja. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metoda survai dengan pengambilan sampelnya menggunakan teknik strata atas dasar keikutsertaan dalam penyuluhan perumahan. Pengumpulan data dengan responden sampel anggota masyarakat berjumlah 64 rumah tangga dan tokoh masyarakat 18 orang menggunakan wawancara dan pengamatan langsung di lapangan. Analisis data menggunakan sistem skor, analisis statistik regresi ganda, varian dan matrik korelasi parsial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gahwa hanya kebiasaan keluarga anggota masyarakat saja sebagai faktor sosio-ekonomis yang paling berpengaruh terhadap efektivitas penyuluhan perumahan, sedangkan kebiasaan keluarga tokoh masyarakat kurang berpengaruh. Dalam hal anggota masyarakat yang tersuluh berpartisipasi tinggi dipengaruhi oleh efektivitas penyuluhan. Demikian pula keberhasilan intervensi inovasi didukung partisipasi anggota masyarakat yang tersuluh. Semakin tinggi efektivitas penyuluhan perumahan, semakin tinggi partisipasi anggota masyarakat yang tersuluh, maka semakin tinggi kualitas lingkungan perumahannya. Namun demikian hanya faktor kualitas lingkungan perumahan saja yang berpengaruh besar terhadap gairah kerja penghuninya, sedangkan kenyamanan tidak berpengaruh terhadap gairah kerja, oleh karena itu kualitas lingkungan perumahan yang baik belum tentu mendukung kenyamanan tetapi kualitas tersebut berpengaruh terhadap gairah kerja penghuninya.

ABSTRACT This thesis expresses the result of the study on Influence of Counselling on Housing Environment Quality at Terban Kampoong, Sub District of Gondokusuman, Municipality of Yogyakarta. The objectives of this research examining the influence of communitie's socioeconomic condition on the housing counselling efectivity; the influence of counselling effectivity on community participation, the successfull of inovation intervation and its influence on the improvement of housing environment quality; the increasing of housing environment quality and its influence on the comfortable decreasing work enthusiasm. This study was done by using the survey method. The sample taking was done by using stratified technic based on the participant in housing counselling. The data collecting was done by interviewing and direct observation. The respondents of sample people numbered in sixty four households and eighteen key person. The data analysis is using scoring system, multiple regression, variants analysis and partial coefficient correlations matrix. The study result shows that the only family habits are socioeconomic factors which the most influence on housing counselling efectivity, while the family of key persons habits are not quite influence. The counselled community will be high partisipatied by the influence of counselling effectivity. Therefore the successfull of inovation intervention suport by the counselled community participation the more higher counselled community partisipation and housing counselling effectivity will be resulting making the more higher the quality of housing environment. However, the only the housing environment quality more influences to the work enthusiasm of household members. While the comfortable of housing does not influensce to work enthusiasm. Therefore the better housing environment quality is not certain to support the comfortability of housing, but this quality influences to work enthusiasm of household members.
