Effective and efficient infrastructure management is an essential aspect in supporting the operational performance of higher education institutions. Roads and buildings, as the primary campus infrastructure, play a crucial role in facilitating academic activities, research, and student affairs. The integration between road and building infrastructure is key to creating a campus environment that is both comfortable and safe. Based on these considerations, this research was conducted with the aim of designing and developing WebGIS Gamaku as an information system for roads and buildings at Universitas Gadjah Mada, as well as evaluating its use to assess user satisfaction with the developed system.
This research adopts a web-based system development method using the Laravel 11 framework in Visual Studio Code, with PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as the programming languages for the user interface. The interactive map is presented using Leaflet JS, while spatial database management is handled with PostgreSQL. Spatial data processing and preparation were carried out using ArcGIS 10.8 and QGIS 3.32.3. System access is categorized based on user roles—public users, registered users, and administrators—according to their respective needs and levels of authority.
The results of the study show that WebGIS Gamaku is capable of presenting campus road and building spatial data interactively while also providing an integrated facility damage reporting feature. The system is considered effective in accelerating the maintenance process of roads and buildings and improving the overall efficiency of campus infrastructure management. Usability testing yielded a score of 92%, indicating that the system is feasible as it provides easy access, an informative interface, and valuable support for campus road and building management.
