Dari Lapangan ke Gerakan: Riverside Forest sebagai Representasi Gerakan Sosial Politik melalui Sepakbola

Penelitian ini menganalisis perihal gerakan sosial-politik yang dilakukan oleh klub sepakbola akar rumput–Riverside Forest–sebagai bentuk resistensi sekaligus perlawanan terhadap dinamika sosial-politik dan perkembangan industri sepakbola modern. Dikaji melalui teori representasi, gerakan sosial baru, dan punk football, penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus untuk mengetahui lebih dalam dan holistik tentang bagaimana sepakbola dapat menjadi wadah artikulasi politik melalui upaya representasi gerakan sosial-politik Riverside Forest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sepakbola memiliki potensi sebagai media alternatif gerakan sosial-politik, kehadiran klub sepakbola alternatif berideologi punk football seperti Riverside Forest mencerminkan bahwa sepakbola memiliki esensi lebih dari sekedar olahraga belaka, melainkan sebagai medium pergerakan sosial-politik sekaligus budaya tanding terhadap dominasi struktur sepakbola modern.

This research analyze the socio-political movement carried out by grassroot Football club–Riverside Forest–as a form of resistance as well as opposition to the socio-political dynamics and the growing of modern Football industry. It is studied through the study of representation theory, the concept of new social movement, and the concept of punk football. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach to find out more deeply and holistically about how football can become a forum of political articulation through the representation of the socio-political movement of Riverside Forest. The result showed that football has the potential as an alternative medium for socio-political movements, the presence of alternative football clubs with punk football ideology such as Riverside Forest reflects that football has more essence than just a sport, but as a medium for socio-political movements and a form of cultural resistance against the dominance of modern football structures.
