Karakteristik Fisik Kolostrum Kambing Sapera dengan Body Condition Score yang Berbeda saat Partus

Produksi susu kambing diawali dengan produksi kolostrum yang berfungsi untuk meningkatkan imunitas anak. Kolostrum memiliki karakter yang lebih kental dibandingkan susu normal. Karakteristik fisik seperti viskositas, nilai pH dan kadar keasaman dapat digunakan untuk mengetahui kualitas nutrien kolostrum. Body condition score merupakan penilaian berdasarkan cadangan lemak tubuh yang berperan sebagai sumber energi dan prekursor asam lemak dalam pembentukan kolostrum. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas kolostrum melalui karakteristik fisik pada BCS yang berbeda. Penelitian dilakukan di Kecamatan Turi dan Kalasan, Kabupaten Sleman pada bulan April sampai Juni 2025. Materi yang digunakan berupa 10 ekor kambing Sapera umur 4-4,5 tahun pada laktasi ketiga dan kolostrum kambing Sapera. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengukur BCS, kandungan nutrien, dan karakteristik fisik kolostrum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kolostrum dari induk dengan BCS 2 memiliki viskositas 175,50±0,00  mPas, nilai pH 6,48±0,00  dan kadar keasaman 0,39±0,00 %, kambing BCS 3-3,5 memiliki viskositas sebesar 295,50±142,77 mPas, nilai pH 6,38±0,13?n kadar keasaman 0,41±0,10%. Perbedaan yang terlihat pada viskositas kolostrum. Sedangkan pada nilai pH dan kadar keasaman kolostrum memiliki nilai yang hampir sama.

Goat milk production begins with the colostrum production which function to increase the kid immunity. Colostrum is thicker than normal milk. Physical characteristics such as viscosity, pH value, and acidity can be used to determine the nutrional quality of colostrum.  Body condition score is an assessment based on the body fat reserve which act as a source of energy and precursor of fatty acids in the formation of colostrum. This study aimed to know the quality of colostrum through physical characteristics on different BCS. The study was conducted at Turi and Kalasan, Sleman  from April to June 2025.The material used conducted of 10 Sapera goats aged 4-4,5 years in the third lactation and Sapera goat colostrum. The study were measured for BCS, nutrien content, and physical characteristics of colostrum. The result of the study showed that colostrum from goat with BCS <3,0 had a viscosity 175,50±0,00 mPas, pH value 6,48±0,00  and acidity level 0,39±0,00 %, while those with BCS ?3 had viscosity of 295,50±142,77 mPas, pH value 6,38±0,13 and acidity level 0,41±0,10%. A signifcant difference is observed in the viscosity of colostrum. Whereas the pH value and acidity level of the colostrum remain nearly identical.
