Hubungan antara stres dan motivasi dengan kinerja dosen tetap pada Akper Sorong

Latar Belakang : Peran dosen dalam pelaksanaan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi sangat menentukan keberhasilan pendidikan, selain faktor kurikulum, sarana prasarana, dan mahasiswa. Berdasarkan observasi partisipatoris Akreditasi Pendidikan, Akper Sorong baru mencapai nilai B, nilai hasil belajar mahasiswa menurun, tingkat absensi dosen tinggi, keterbatasan buku sumber dan alat praktek keperawatan, serta kenaikan pangkat dosen yang terhambat, hubungan interpersonal yang kurang baik dan tingkat kesejahteraan dosen kurang. Tujuan Penelitian : Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara stres kerja dan motivasi dengan kinerja dosen tetap Akper Sorong Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan menggunakan rancangan cross sectional. Subyek penelitian adalah dosen tetap Akper Sorong dan mahasiswa. Uji statistik yang digunakan uji korelasi dan regresi ganda. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan kuisioner dan pedoman wawancara mendalam. Hasil : Skor rata-rata stres termasuk kategori sedang (56.72); motivasi intrinsik kategori tinggi (21.72); motivasi ekstrinsik kategori sedang (44.27); dan kinerja kategori sedang (91.55). Hasil uji korelasi product moment menunjukkan hubungan antara kinerja dengan stres kerja sebesar 0.695, dengan motivasi intrinsik sebesar 0.655; dan dengan motivasi ekstrinsik sebesar 0.802. Ketiganya berhubungan secara signifikan dengan kinerja. Hasil uji regrsi linier antara stres,motivasi dengan kinerja menunjukan R2 = 0.742 dan sumbangan motivasi ekstrinsik terhadap kinerja sebesar 46.8%. Hasil analisis kuantitif diperkuat hasil kualitatif yang menunjukan bahwa motivasi ektrinsik yang mempengaruhi kinerja dosen. Kesimpulan : Motivasi intrinsik dan ektrinsik serta stres kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja dosen tetap Akper Sorong, tetapi motivasi ektrinsik merupakan faktor yang paling dominan.

Background: Apart from factors like curricula, facilities and students, the role of lecturers in the implementation of three obligations of higher education does influence the success of education. Based on participatory observation of educational accreditation, Sorong Nursing Academy is in B level; students' academic achievement is declining, lecturers' absence is high; reference books and nursing practical instruments are limited; process for higher rank is delayed, interpersonal relationship is not running well; and lecturers' remuneration is low. Objectives: The study was to know the relationship between stress of work and motivation with performance of permanent lecturers of Sorong Nursing Academy. Methods: The study was of quantitative descriptive and qualitative type which used cross sectional design. The subject of the study was permanent lecturers and students of Sorong Nursing Academy. Statistical analysis used were correlation test and double regression. Questionnaires and indepth interview were used as research instruments. Result: Avarage score of stress was medium (56.72); intrinsic motivation was high (21.72); extrinsic motivation was medium (44.27); and performance was medium (91.55). Product moment correlation test showed the relationship between performance and work stress was 0.695; between performance and intrinsic motivation was 0.655, and between performance and extrinsic motivation was 0.802. The three aspects were significantly related with performance. Linear regression test result between stress, motivation and peformance showed R2 =0.742 and the contribution of extrinsic motivation toward performance was 46.8%. Quantitative analysis supported by qualitative one showed that extrinsic motivatioan influenced lecturers' performance. Conclusion: Both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation as well as work stress influenced permanent lecturers' performance of Sorong Nursing Academy, but extrinsic motivation was the most dominant factor.
