Pengaruh Karakteristik Dewan Komisaris terhadap Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Decoupling pada Perusahaan Non-Keuangan yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik dewan komisaris terhadap ESG decoupling pada perusahaan non-keuangan di Indonesia. Karakteristik dewan komisaris yang diteliti mencakup ukuran dewan komisaris, proporsi komisaris independen, dan keberagaman gender dalam dewan komisaris. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari perusahaan non-keuangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia serta secara aktif menerbitkan laporan tahunan selama periode 2021-2023. Penelitian ini juga memasukkan variabel kontrol berupa profitabilitas, ukuran perusahaan, dan leverage untuk mengendalikan variabel independen dari pengaruh luar yang tidak diteliti. Teori agensi digunakan sebagai landasan dalam pengembangan dan penjelasan hipotesis. Hasil analisis regresi data panel menunjukkan bahwa independensi dewan komisaris berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap ESG decoupling, sementara ukuran dewan komisaris dan keberagaman gender dalam dewan komisaris tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang signfikan terhadap ESG decoupling.

This study aims to analyze the effect of board of commissioners’ characteristics on ESG decoupling in the Indonesian non-financial sector. The board characteristics variables examined include board size, the proportion of independent commissioners, and gender diversity. The research sample consists of non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange that actively published annual reports during the 2021–2023 period. The study also includes control variables such as profitability, firm size, and leverage to account for external factors that may influence the independent variables. Agency theory serves as the theoretical foundation for developing and explaining the hypotheses. The panel data regression analysis shows that the proportion of independent commissioners has a significant positive effect on ESG decoupling, while board size and gender diversity on the board do not have a significant effect.
