The Israeli-Palestinian conflict that occurred in 2023-2024 caused environmental degradation on a significant scale, surpassing the level of ecological damage recorded in previous conflicts. The damage that occurred was categorized as ecocide because there was an element of systematic destruction of the ecosystem. In the paradigm of anthropocentric ethics, which places humans as entities with intrinsic value and nature as an instrument for human interests, it presents complex ethical problems in analyzing the impact of ecocide that occurs. Based on these problems, this study aims to analyze the impact of ecocide on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the review of anthropocentric ethics.

The material object of this study is the impact of ecocide from the Israeli and Palestinian conflict in 2023. The formal object used in this study is Anthropocentric Environmental Ethics. This research is a philosophical research on actual problems sourced from library data. The method used in this study is the philosophical hermeneutic method with methodical elements of description, interpretation, heuristics, and critical reflection.

Based on the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that: First, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has resulted in a massive ecocide impact on the Gaza ecological system. Second, the ecocide impact of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is based on the anthropocentric paradigm that places humans as the center of the universe. Despite being oriented towards anthropocentrism, humans are actually the ones most harmed by the impact of the conflict that occurs. Third, this anthropocentric paradigm has proven to fail to provide an adequate ethical framework to address large-scale environmental crises, because the resulting ecosystem damage is contrary to the anthropocentric goal of protecting human well-being. The ecocide impact that has occurred shows that the separation of human interests from ecosystem health is a dangerous illusion that has detrimental impacts on all forms of life.       The Israeli-Palestinian conflict that occurred in 2023-2024 caused environmental degradation on a significant scale, surpassing the level of ecological damage recorded in previous conflicts.
