STUDI PENGARUH PEMBERIAN KOMBINASI PREPARAT HORMON OKSITOSIN DAN TESTOSTERON TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN STATUS FAALI AYAM KAMPUNG JANTAN

STUDI PENGARUH PEMBERIAN KOMBINASI PREPARAT HORMON OKSITOSIN DAN TESTOSTERON TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN STATUS FAALI AYAM KAMPUNG JANTAN INTISARI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kombinasi preparat hormon oksitosin dan testosteron secara subkutan terhadap status faali dan pertumbuhan ayam kampung jantan.Dua puluh ekor ayam kampung jantan secara acak dibagi menjadi dua ke-lompok, kelompok I sebagai kontrol (K)yang disuntik aqua bidestilata0,2 ml/ekordan sepuluh yang lain dari kelompok perlakuan (OT)disuntik dengan hormon oksitosin 0,5 ml/ekor dan hormon testosteron secara subkutan setiap minggu duakali selama70 hari. Data yang diamati dan diambil adalah temperatur tubuh,frekuensi respirasi/menit, denyut jantung/menit, ADG, berat testis, berat darah serta berat kepala dan leher. Hasil analisis statistik dengan menggunakan uji t (t-test) menunjukkan hasil yang non signifikan(P>0,05) pada temperatur tubuh, respirasi, denyut jantung. Sedangkan hasil yang signifikan(P<0,05) ditunjukkan pada pertambahan berat badan harian, berat testis,berat darah dan berat kepala-leher. Rerata dari ADG (g), berat testis (g), berat darah (g) dan berat kepala-leher(g) antara perlakuan dan kontrol adalah :4,48 vs 3,78; 0,63 vs 0,57; 117,80 vs 97,40; 212,20 vs 181,80. Kesimpulan yang diambil yaitu dengan pemberian kombinasi hormon oksitosin dan testosteron akan meningkatkan produktivitas ayam kampung dan tidak berpengaruh secara nyata terhadap status fisiologisnya. THE STUDY EFFECTS OF APPLYING COMBINATION SYNTHETIC OXYTOCIN AND TESTOSTERONE HORMONE ON PHYSIOLOGICAL STATUS AND GROWTH OF NATIVE COCK ABSTRACT This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of applying combination synthetic oxytocin and testosterone hormone injection on physiological status and growth of native cocks. Twenty heads of native cocks were randomly devided into two groups, namely group I as a control group (K) were injected subcutaneously with 0,2 ml/head steril aquabidestilata, and the other ten heads of treated group (OT) were injected subcutaneously with 0,5 ml/head synthetic oxytocin and testosterone hormone twice a week. The physiological status evaluation were : body r e, respiratory freguency and heart beats. And the evaluation on body growth were : Average Daily Gain (ADG), testes weight, blood weight, and neck-head weight. The collected data were analyzed by student's t test method. The result showed that oxytocin and testosterone injection not significantly effected on physiological status (P>.05). But the result on the growth evaluation was significantly improved (P<.05). The average of ADG (g), testes weight (g), blood weight (g), and neck-head weight (g) between the cock in the treated group vs the cock in the control group were 4.48 vs 3.78; 0.63 vs 0.57; 117.80 vs 97.40; 212.20 vs 181.80, respectively. It was concluded that the injection o0f synthetic oxytocin and testosteron subcutaneously would not effected significantly on the physiological status and would significantly improve the growth of native cock.
