DEKOLONIALITAS DAN PERLAWANAN RAKYAT PALESTINA DALAM NOVEL MORNINGS IN JENIN KARYA SUSAN ABULHAWA

Mornings in Jenin, karya Susan Abulhawa, salah satu novel international bestseller Palestina yang diterjemahkan ke dalam dua puluh enam bahasa. Novel ini mengeksplorasi pengalaman hidup multi-generasi di Palestina di bawah penjajahan Israel. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi aspek dan dampak penjajahan Israel menggunakan perspektif dekolonialitas Walter Mignolo melalui Colonial Matrix of Power (CMP) dan menganalisa upaya dekolonialitas serta manifestasi perlawanan rakyat Palestina. Metode penelitian ini deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan analisis naratologi Gerard Genette yang berfokus pada fokalisasi narator melalui analisis karakter, teks, dan simbolis dalam novel. 

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel ini menggambarkan narasi kolonialitas pemerintahan Zionis Israel yang ditunjukkan berupa perampasan rumah dan wilayah, pengusiran penduduk asli, pemusnahan etnis, dan dominasi penjajahan multidimensi melalui perspektif CMP Walter Mignolo. Dampak penjajahan menyebabkan penghapusan identitas dan sejarah, distorsi narasi, pemusnahan etnis, dan dehumanisasi. Pengalaman hidup mereka dibawah penjajahan membentuk kesadaran individu dan kolektif untuk melakukan perlawanan yang menunjukkan representasi upaya dekolonialitas multidimensi sebagai respon rakyat Palestina atas penjajahan Israel. Representasi dekolonialitas berupa delinking secara epistemis, politik, ekonomi, dan subjektivitas. Serta manifestasi dekolonialitas dalam upaya pembebasan dari penjajahan Israel atas Palestina yang masih berlangsung hingga saat ini.

Mornings in Jenin, by Susan Abulhawa, is one of Palestine's international bestseller novels translated into twenty-six languages. The novel explores the multi-generational life experiences of Palestine under Israeli occupation. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the aspects and impacts of Israeli coloniality using decoloniality perspective by Walter Mignolo through the Colonial Matrix of Power (CMP) and analyse the decoloniality projects and the manifestation of resistance by Palestinian. This research method employed qualitative descriptive using Gerard Genette's narrative analysis which focused on the focalisation narrator through character, text, and symbolic analysis in the novel. 

The results show that this novel represents the coloniality narrative  of the Israeli government in the way of house and land dispossession, the expulsion of indigenous peoples, ethnic cleansing, identity and history annihilation, narrative distortion, dehumanization and the dominance of multidimensional coloniality through the perspective of CMP Walter Mignolo. The Palestinian life experiences under coloniality shape the individual and collective consciousness to carry out resistance that represents the multidimensional decolonisation projects upon Israeli occupation. The representation of decoloniality is depicted in the form of epistemic, political, economic, and subjective delinking. Following the result provides the manifestation of decoloniality towards liberation act from Israeli ongoing occupation over Palestine.
