Hubungan Asupan Zat Gizi, Status Gizi dan Kualitas Tidur dengan Kelelahan Kerja pada Tenaga Kependidikan Wanita di Lingkungan Universitas Gadjah Mada

Latar Belakang: Kelelahan kerja yang dialami oleh tenaga kerja atau karyawan dapat menyebabkan penurunan produktivitas kerja.  Kelelahan kerja terjadi disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yaitu usia, status anemia, masa kerja, shift kerja, keadaan lingkungan, beban kerja, kualitas tidur, stres kerja. Asupan zat gizi makro yang seimbang akan berpengaruh pada status gizi seseorang sehingga berdampak pada kinerja yang menyebabkan penurunan pada kelelahan kerja sementara kualitas tidur berbanding lurus pada tingkat kelelahan kerja. 


Tujuan : Melihat gambaran hubungan asupan zat gizi, status gizi dan kualitas tidur  terhadap kelelahan kerja 


Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross sectional yang bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antar variabel yang diteliti. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling, dengan besar sampel sebanyak 70 karyawan. Data diambil dengan instrumen kuesioner online dan cetak serta pengukuran antropometri secara luring.


Hasil penelitian: Responden memiliki asupan yang kurang pada konsumsi energi (94,3%), protein (61,4%), lemak (71,4%) dan karbohidrat (98,6%), status gizi berlebih (52,9%), kualitas tidur baik (50%) dan kelelahan kerja yang rendah (78,6%). Terdapat hubungan signifikan pada kualitas tidur (p=0,042) dengan kelelahan kerja. Akan tetapi, tidak terdapat hubungan antara asupan zat gizi dan status gizi dengan kelelahan kerja. 


Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan bermakna antara kualitas tidur dengan kelelahan kerja. Tidak terdapat hubungan bermakna antara asupan zat gizi dan status gizi dengan kelelahan kerja 


Background: Work fatigue experienced by employees can lead to a decline in work productivity. This condition may arise due to various factors, including age, anemia status, length of employment, shift schedules, work environment, workload, sleep quality, and occupational stress. A balanced intake of macronutrients plays a vital role in maintaining good nutritional status, which in turn supports optimal performance and helps reduce the risk of fatigue. Moreover, sleep quality is positively correlated with the level of work fatigue, where poor sleep tends to increase the likelihood of experiencing fatigue during work activities.


Objective: An Overview of the Relationship Between Nutrient Intake, Nutritional Status, and Sleep Quality with Work Fatigue


Methods: This study employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design aimed at identifying the relationships between the examined variables. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling, involving a total of 70 employees. Data were collected through both online and printed questionnaires, as well as offline anthropometric measurements.


Results: The majority of respondents had inadequate intake of energy (94.3%), protein (61.4%), fat (71.4%), and carbohydrates (98.6%). More than half (52.9%) were classified as having excess nutritional status. Half of the respondents (50%) reported good sleep quality, and the majority (78.6%) experienced low levels of work fatigue. A significant relationship was found sleep quality (p = 0.042) with work fatigue. However, no significant relationship was observed between nutrient intake, nutritional status and work fatigue (p>0.05)


Conclusion: There is a significant association between sleep quality with work fatigue. In contrast, nutrient intake and nutritional status are not significantly associated with work fatigue.
