Perkembangan teknologi dan penggunaan telepon seluler yang sudah semakin maju dan luas memunculkan ide penulis untuk menambah kegunaan dari telepon seluler, yaitu membuat suatu sistem kontrol melaui telepon seluler. Telepon seluler saat ini mudah didapatkan dengan harga yang relatif murah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan Prototipe Sistem Kontrol Jarak Jauh berbasis Mikrokontroler AT89C51 dan layanan DTMF Telepon Seluler termasuk sistem pengaman agar tidak sembarang user dapat mengakses, sistem penjawab untuk komunikasi bidirectional antara sistem dengan telepon user Penelitin ini menggunakan metode studi literatur yaitu dengan mempelajari beberapa karya ilmiah seperti jurnal, buku teks, datasheet dan artikel-artikel yang berhubungan dengan judul penelitian, Menganalisis data, merancang sistem, hardware dan software, mengimplementasikan semua komponen sistem dan menguji sistem, serta melakukan evaluasi untuk menyempurnakan sistem. Prototipe Sistem Kontrol Jarak Jauh berbasis Mikrokontroler AT89C51 dan layanan DTMF Telepon Seluler terdiri dari beberapa unit yaitu unit (1) detektor sinyal, (2) dekoder nada DTMF, (3) relay aktif sistem, (4) relay pengendali, (5) user password, (6) sound generator, (7) pengendali dan (8) memori eksternal serta sofrware yang downloadkan ke memori AT89C51 sebagai bagian dari unit pengendali. Berdasarkan hasil rancangan, implementasi dan pengujian yang dilakukan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa sistem yang dibangun dengan harware dan software berkerja dengan baik, sistem pengaman dilengkapi password dinamis, komunikasi dengan penjawab secara otomatis, sistem dapat digunakan untuk keperluan rumah tangga sehari-hari dan relatif murah..

Rapid development in technology and wide spread use of cellular telephone give an idea to develop a control system throught cellular telephone. Another justification is thet cellular is easly abtained with relatively low price. The present research is to design and implement Prototype of a Remote Control System based on Microcontroller AT 89C51 and DTMF Cellular Telephone Service including its security system to prevent acces of unauthorized users, answerring system for bidirectional communication of the system with telepone users Research is initiated with literature review of scientific publications in journals, textbooks, datasheet, and other related articles, data analysis, system, hardware and software design, and system evaluation to improve system performance. Prototype of Remote Control System based on Microcontroller AT 89C51 and DTMF Cellular Telephone Service consists of several units : (1) signal detector, (2) DTMF tone decoder, (3) active relay system, (4) control relay, (5) user password, (6) sound generator, (7) control, and (8) external memory as well as downloaded software to AT89C5 memory as component of control system. . Based on design test, implementation, and evaluation, it is concluded that the system with hardwareand software as such, dynamic passsword security system, and otomatic answering system work well, the system can be used for daily household activity and low price.
