PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN BERBAGAI MACAM LITTER TERHADAP HASIL PRODUKSI KARKAS DAN LEMAK ABDOMINAL AYAM BROILER

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan berbagai bahan litter terhadap bobot hidup, bobot potong, bobot karkas, bobot lemak abdominal, presentase karkas, dan presentase lemak abdominal ayam yang dipelihara. Penelitian selama 28 hari di Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Gadjah Mada ini dilakukan dengan memelihara 810 ekor ayam strain Hubbard dalam satu kandang yang dibagi menjadi 27 pen, masing-masing berisi 30 ekor. Perlakuan yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu Sekam Padi, Jerami Padi, dan Serbuk Kayu untuk dibandingkan dengan variabel yang digunakan meliputi bobot hidup, bobot potong, bobot karkas, persentase karkas, bobot lemak abdominal, dan presentase lemak abdominal. This reasearch aims to determine the effect of using various litter materials on live weight, slaughter weight, carcass weight, abdominal fat weight, carcass percentage, and abdominal fat percentage of chickens being raised. This 28-day study at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Gadjah Mada University was conducted by raising 810 Hubbard strain chickens in one cage divided into 27 pens, each containing 30 chickens. The treatments used in the study were Rice Husk, Rice Straw, and Sawdust to be compared with the variables used including live weight, slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, abdominal fat weight, and abdominal fat percentage.
