Pengaruh Posisi Lereng dan Mulsa Sekam Padi terhadap Pertumbuhan Kopi Robusta Umur Satu Tahun di Bawah Tegakan Meranti di Cangkringan, Sleman

Pemanfaatan ruang tumbuh secara optimal di bawah tegakan meranti perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas lahan. Informasi terkait pengaruh posisi lereng dan mulsa sekam padi terhadap pertumbuhan kopi robusta di bawah tegakan meranti masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh posisi lereng, pemberian mulsa sekam padi, dan interaksi kedua perlakuan terhadap pertumbuhan kopi robusta umur satu tahun di bawah tegakan meranti. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan petak terbagi dengan posisi lereng (lereng atas (A), lereng tengah (T), lereng bawah (B)) sebagai petak utama dan perlakuan mulsa sekam padi (tanpa mulsa (M0), diberi mulsa (M1)) sebagai anak petak. Terdapat 6 kombinasi perlakuan, setiap perlakuan terdiri dari 4 tanaman dan terdapat 4 blok sebagai ulangan, sehingga total tanaman kopi yang digunakan adalah 96 tanaman. Parameter yang diamati dan diukur pada tanaman kopi adalah pertambahan tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, dan lebar tajuk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh posisi lereng berbeda nyata terhadap pertambahan tinggi tanaman kopi robusta umur satu tahun. Lereng tengah dan lereng bawah menunjukkan nilai pertumbuhan yang relatif lebih tinggi daripada yang lereng atas. Pengaruh pemberian mulsa sekam padi berbeda nyata terhadap pertambahan tinggi dan diameter tanaman kopi robusta. Nilai pertumbuhan tanaman yang diberi mulsa menunjukkan nilai yang lebih tinggi daripada yang tanpa mulsa. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara kedua perlakuan yang signifikan terhadap semua parameter yang diamati.

The optimally use of growing space under meranti stands is essential to increase land productivity. Information regarding the effects of slope position and rice-husk mulch on the growth of robusta coffee under meranti stands is still limited. This research aimed to determine the effects of slope position, the application of rice-husk mulch, and the interaction between both treatments on the growth of one-year-old robusta coffee under meranti stands. The research used a split-plot design with slope positions(upper slope (A), middle slope (T), lower slope (B)) as the main plots and rice-husk mulch application (without mulch (M0), with mulch (M1)) as the sub plots. There were six treatment combinations. Each plot contains four plants. There were four blocks as replications. The total number of robusta coffee plants was 96 plants. The parameters measured were the plant height, stem diameter, and canopy width. The results showed that the effect of slope position had a significant difference on the height increment of one-year-old robusta coffee plants. The plants grown on the middle and lower slopes showed relatively better growth than the upper one. The effect of application of rice-husk mulch significantly differenced on the plant height and stem diameter. The plant growth given with rice-husk mulch showed better values than that with no mulch. Interaction between the two treatments was no significant difference in all parameters.
