Tingkat Pengetahuan Mahasiswa Kedokteran Gigi Terhadap Hubungan Antara Kesehatan Mulut dan Sistemik (Kajian pada Mahasiswa Profesi FKG UGM)

Kesehatan gigi dan mulut merupakan bagian dari kesehatan tubuh secara keseluruhan. Mahasiswa profesi dokter gigi diharapkan memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang manifestasi oral dari penyakit sistemik untuk dapat merencanakan perawatan yang aman dan sesuai kondisi pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan mahasiswa profesi dokter gigi terhadap hubungan antara kesehatan mulut dan sistemik. 

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 142 mahasiswa profesi dokter gigi tingkat junior, madya, dan senior. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner pengetahuan yang terdiri dari 21 pertanyaan tipe benar-salah disertai skenario kasus yang mencakup masing-masing 7 soal jenis pengetahuan dasar, biomedis, dan klinis. Skor pengetahuan diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi SPSS dengan uji Kruskal-Wallis dan uji lanjutan post-hoc.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan yang signifikan antara mahasiswa profesi dokter gigi junior, madya, dan senior (p<0>

Oral health is part of overall body health. Clinical dental students are expected to have good knowledge of the oral manifestations caused by systemic diseases in order to plan safe and appropriate treatment according to the patient's condition. This study aimed to determine knowledge of clinical dental students regarding the oral-systemic connection.  

This study used a descriptive-analytical method with a cross-sectional approach. The study involved 142 junior, middle, and senior clinical dental students. Data was collected through a questionnaire consisting of 21 true-false type questions accompanied by case scenarios which included 7 questions each for basic, biomedical, and clinical knowledge types. The knowledge scores were processed and analyzed using SPSS application with Kruskal-Wallis test and post-hoc test.

In conclusion is that the knowledge between clinical dental students of FKG UGM regarding oral-systemic connection are different especially in the type of basic knowledge.
