University students often experience stress due to academic pressure and demanding daily routines. If left unaddressed, stress can negatively impact both physical and mental health. Continuous stress monitoring can serve as an early step to prevent these effects. However, monitoring with complete time markers is still rarely applied, even though accurate time information is essential for understanding daily stress patterns. This study aims to develop a stress monitoring system using a GSR sensor integrated with Arduino and an SD card module. The system is designed to continuously record skin conductance data along with precise time markers using an RTC module.
The system was tested on five participants across five different activities: sleeping, doing academic tasks, riding a motorcycle, watching a movie, and painting. The results show that the GSR sensor is capable of detecting changes in stress levels based on the activity performed, with accurate time logging. This system is expected to help identify stress triggers and support the development of more effective, data-driven stress management strategies.
