The Effect of Different Protein Sources in Laying Hens Diets on Nutrient Value and In Vitro Nutrient Digestibility

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi nilai nutrisi dan kecernaan in vitro dari pakan ayam petelur yang mengandung berbagai sumber protein. Analisis proksimat dilakukan untuk menentukan kadar bahan organik, bahan kering, protein kasar, serat kasar, lemak kasar (extract ether), serta analisis in vitro dilakukan untuk menilai tingkat kecernaan protein kasar pada setiap jenis pakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga perlakuan dengan lima ulangan, dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis varians satu arah (one-way ANOVA). Perlakuan terdiri dari: T0 = Sumber protein nabati (sistem cage free), T1 = Sumber protein hewani (pakan komersial), T2 = Sumber protein hewani (pakan racikan sendiri). Seluruh data dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Data yang menunjukkan perbedaan nyata diuji lanjut menggunakan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan.

Hasil analisis proksimat menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan pada kadar bahan kering, bahan organik, abu, dan ekstrak tanpa nitrogen (BETN) antara semua perlakuan. Namun, sumber protein nabati (sistem cage free; T0) dan sumber protein hewani (pakan komersial; T1) memiliki kadar protein kasar yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan sumber protein hewani (pakan racikan sendiri; T2). T0 dan T2 memiliki kadar serat kasar yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan T1 (P<0>).

The aim of this study was to evaluate the nutrient value and in vitro digestibility of laying hen fed diets contained different protein sources. The proximate analysis was conducted to determine the levels of organic matter, dry matter, crude protein, crude fiber, extract ether, and in vitro analysis was carried out to asses the levels of crude protein digestibility in each diet. The study employed three treatments with five replications, in one-way ANOVA analysis. The treatments were T0 = Plant-based protein source (cage free system), T1 = Animal-based protein source (commercial feed), T2 = Animalbased protein source (self-mixed). All data were pooled statistically analyzed using a completely randomized design. Data with significant difference were further tested using Duncan's new Multiple Range Test. Proximate analyses showed that no difference were found in dry matter, organic matter, ash, and nitrogen-free extract between all treatment diets. However, plant-based protein source (cage free system; T0) and animal-based protein source (commercial feed; T1) contained higher crude protein than animal-based protein source (self-mixed; T2). T0 and T2 contained higher crude fibre than T1 (P<0>)
