Peran Dimensi - Dimensi Attachment Terhadap Parasocial Relationship Pemilih Pemula Pada Calon Presiden Dalam Pemilu 2024

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran attachment dimensions (close, depend, dan anxiety) terhadap pembentukan hubungan parasosial yang dimiliki oleh pemilih pemula terhadap calon presiden dalam Pemilu 2024. Hubungan parasosial merupakan ikatan emosional sepihak antara individu dan figur publik yang umumnya terbentuk melalui paparan media. Data dikumpulkan dari 118 partisipan berusia 18–21 tahun yang menggunakan hak pilihnya untuk pertama kali. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Revised Adult Attachment Scale (RAAS) dan Parasocial Relationship with Political Figures (PSR-P) Scale. Hasil analisis regresi linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada satu pun dari ketiga dimensi attachment secara signifikan memprediksi hubungan parasosial. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa attachment dimensions tidak berperan dominan dalam pembentukan hubungan emosional terhadap tokoh politik. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya mengeksplorasi lebih jauh faktor psikososial lain yang memengaruhi perilaku pemilih muda dalam konteks politik Indonesia. 

This study aimed to examine the role of attachment dimensions (close, depend, and anxiety) in predicting parasocial relationships formed by first-time voters toward presidential candidates in the 2024 Indonesian general election. Parasocial relationships refer to one-sided emotional bonds between individuals and public figures, often formed through mediated exposure. Data were collected from 118 participants aged 18–21 who voted for the first time. Instruments used included the Revised Adult Attachment Scale (RAAS) and the Parasocial Relationship with Political Figures (PSR-P) Scale. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that none of the attachment dimensions significantly predicted parasocial relationships. These findings suggest that first-time voters’ emotional attachments, as measured through attachment styles, do not play a central role in forming emotional bonds with political figures. This study highlights the complexity of political engagement among young voters and suggests future research explore a broader range of psychosocial influences in voter behavior.
