Tuhan menciptakan manusia dengan maksud agar manusia dapat menyembah Dia. Dalam hal menyembah dan memuji Dia maupun untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya, manusia secara naluri mencari sesuatu yang bersifat rohani maupun jasmani. Pencarian yang bersifat rohani muncul lah kepercayaan kepada Tuhan, pencarian yang bersifat jasmani muncul lah pengetahuan, lahirlah kebudayaan. Kebudayaan ini dari masa ke masa terus berkembang, sesuai dengan perkembangan tingkat kecerdasan manusia itu sendiri, salah satu unsur kebudayaan itu adalah kesenian. Kesenian ini muncul karena apabila manusia ingin memuaskan kebutuhan naluri akan keindahan. Salah satu unsur dari kesenian itu yang tetap bertahan dan selalu berkembang adalah musik. Dari waktu ke waktu kebutuhan akan pemahaman musik semakin berkemnbang. Pengembangan itu meliputi lagu, instrumen, bentuk lagu atau pun susunan instrumen. Zaman Romantik berlainan dengan zaman Klasik, zaman Klasik berlainan dengan zaman Barok, zaman Barok berlainan dengan zaman sebelumnya. Pada zaman Romatik kebebasan berekspresi terbuka lebar, sehingga banyak komponis zaman Romantik menciptakan musik kedengarannya unik, sehingga musik zaman Romantik dapat dikatakan lebih ekspresif sesuai dengan perasaan manusia. Penggunaan medium- medium Oriental, Spanyol, Jepang, Arab dan tema yang berasal dari Abad Pertengahan sah-sah saja. Penggunaan dinamik cresscendo dan decresscendo secara terus-menerus dan dinamik sforzato secara tiba-tiba merupakan suatu sifat perasaan manusia dengan perubahan-perubahan yang tidak disangka-sangka. Begitu juga dalam susunan instrumennya lebih luas lagi sesuai dengan kebutuhan sang komponis. Dalam hal register, warna suara dan bentuk lagu mengalami kemajuan yang pesat, juga harmoni Romantik banyak penekanan-penekanan pada warna akord yang tidak stabil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara jelas bentuk lagu dari Sonata Pour Clarinette Avec Accompagnement de piano Opus 167, karya Camille Saint-Saens. Camille Saint-Saens juga menggunakan kebebasan berekspresi dalam karya-karyanya.

God creates humans in order to make they worship Him. In worshiping and praising God also to tul fill the daily needs, humans look for the spiritual and physical things instinetively. The search of spiritual things causes the faith in God. In order side, the search of physical things causes the knowlagde. Furthermore, the culture springs from it. The culture keeps growing day after day along with the development of the human intelligence. One of the elements of the culture is art. The art appears because the humans want to satisfy their instinct needs of beauty. Then one of the art elements which always grows and holds is music. Together with the time, the need of music comprehension is growing more and more. The development covers the song, music instruments, shape of song, on the composition of the music instruments. The romantic period is different with the classic period, the classic period is different with the baroque period. Then the baroque periode is also different with the preverious periode. In the romantic periode, the freedom of express something was open widely so that there were many romantic period composers composed music that sounded unique. It made an impression that music of the romantic periode was more expressive and fitted to the human feeling. It was not problem to use the oriental, Spanish, Japan, Arabian mediums and themes from the middle ages. The making use of crescendo and decrescendo dynamics continually also the sforzato dynamic suddenly were a nature of human feeling with the unexpectedly changes. Likewise, in the composition of music instruments, it conformed to the composer’s need widely. In the register thing, the timbre and shape of song got the advances rapidly. It also did to the romantic harmony, there were many pressuring of the unstable of the harmonic chords type. The research was led to clearly know the shape of song of the sonata pour clarinette avec accompagnement de piano opus 167 creation of Camille Saint-Saens.Camille Saint-Saens used the freedom of express in his creation as well.
