Kinerja tenaga gizi Puskesmas di propinsi Bengkulu

Latar Belakang : Program perbaikan gizi merupakan program prioritas termasuk salah satu program pokok puskesmas. Berdasarkan hasil pemantauan status gizi pada tahun 2003 terdapat 1,21 % balita menderita gizi buruk dan sebesar 11,33% balita menderita gizi kurang. Cakupan program perbaikan gizi di Propinsi Bengkulu belum mencapai target yang diharapkan, hal ini antara lain berhubungan dengan kinerja tenaga gizi puskesmas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kinerja tenaga gizi puskesmas berdasarkan tugas pokok dan tugas khusus, serta hubungan antara faktor individu dan pendukung dengan kinerja tenaga gizi puskesmas di Propinsi Bengkulu. Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional menggunakan rancangan cross sectional dengan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Responden adalah 94 orang tenaga gizi puskesmas. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pengamatan dokumen program perbaikan gizi, penyebaran kuesioner, diskusi kelompok terarah dan wawancara mendalam. Analisis dilakukan dengan analisis univariat, bivariat dan multivariat. Hasil Penelitian : Hasil analisis univariat menunjukkan bahwa kinerja tenaga gizi di Propinsi Bengkulu sebagian besar berkinerja cukup (60,6 %) dan hasil analisis bivariat dengan korelasi Pearson Product Moment membuktikan adanya hubungan bermakna (p<0,05) antara variabel umur (r=0,231), pengetahuan (r=0,229), lama kerja (r=0,421), motivasi (r=0,268) dan kompensasi (r=0,411) dengan kinerja tenaga gizi puskesmas serta variabel rekan kerja (r=-0,127) dan supervisi (r=-0,127) tidak mempunyai hubungan secara bermakna (p=0,05). Sedangkan hasil analisis variabel pendidikan dan pelatihan dengan menggunakan uji t, didapat hubungan yang bermakna antara variabel pendidikan (t=2.112) dengan kinerja tenaga gizi puskesmas dan variabel pelatihan (t=1,224) tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna. Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan 6 variabel sebagai prediktor yaitu umur (B=-3,766), pengetahuan (B=1,242), lama kerja (B=15,76), motivasi (B=3,796), Kompensasi (B=7,67) dan pendidikan (B=0,31). Kesimpulan : Dari 9 variabel, terdapat 6 variabel berhubungan secara bermakna dan 3 variabel tidak bermakna. Sedangkan faktor dominan yang berhubungan dengan kinerja tenaga gizi puskesmas adalah lama kerja dan kompensasi.

Background: Nutrient improvement program is one of priority program, include in one of primary program of Community Health Center. Based on the result of surveillance on nutrient status in 2003, there was 1.21% young child experience KEP and about 11.33% of young child experienced nutrient deficiency. The scope of nutrient improvement program in Bengkulu Province was not achieve yet an expected target, among of these was correlated to the performance of Community Health Center nutrient official. Objectives: The purpose of this research is to measure the performance of nutrient officer of Community Health Center based on their primary task, and the correlation between individual factor and supporting factors and the performance of nutrient of officer Community health Center in Bengkulu Province. Methods: This research form of observational research used cross sectional design with quantitative and qualitative methods. Respondent was about 94 nutrient official of Community Health Center. The collection of data was performed by observation on document observation of nutrient improvement program, questionnaire distribution, focus discussion group and in depth interview. Analysis was performed with univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. Results: The result of univariate analysis showed that the performance of nutrient official of Community Health Center in Bengkulu Province, most of these have good performance (60.6%) and result of bivariate analysis with correlation of Pearson Product Moment proved there are significant correlation (p<0.05) between age variable (r=0.231), knowledge (r=0.229), work period (r=0.421), motivation (r=0.268) and compensation variable (r= 0.411) with the performance of nutrient official of Community Health Center and work peer variable (r=-0.127) and supervision variable (r=-0.127) have no significant correlation (p=0.05). While, the result of analysis of education and training variable with used t test, was obtained significant correlation between education variable (t=2.112) with nutrient official performance of Community Health Center and training variable (t=1.224) have no significant correlation. The result of multivariate analysis showed 6 variable as predictor, that is age (B=-3.766), knowledge (B=1.242), work period (B=15,76), motivation (B=3.796), compensation (B=7.67) and education (B=0.31). Conclusions: Out of 9 variable, there are 6 variable have significant correlation and 3 variable have no significant correlation. While the dominant factor which correlated to performance of nutrient official of Community Health Center is work period and compensation.
