Latar Belakang: Pengelolaan rumah sakit daerah diarahkan kepada fungsi sosial ekonomi menuju kemandirian dan pelayanan prima. Pemberdayaan karyawan diarahkan kepada perbaikan sikap dan perilaku, serta peningkatan kemampuan dan keterampilan manajerial. Rumah sakit dituntut agar dapat memberikan pelayanan yang lebih bermutu, ramah dan sanggup memenuhi harapan pasien. Perawat sebagai sumber daya terbanyak dan terdepan dalam pelayanan banyak memberikan kontribusi terhadap mutu kinerja suatu rumah sakit. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: a) kinerja kepala ruangan dan perawat pelaksana dalam melaksanakan tugas dan fungsi, b) penerapan standar asuhan keperawatan, dan c) pengetahuan perawat ruang rawat inap di rumah sakit umum daerah Kabupaten Kotabaru. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian observasional dengan menggunakan rancangan Cross Sectional, dengan sampel seluruh populasi sejumlah 64 orang. Variabel penelitian terdiri atas pengetahuan, standar asuhan keperawatan dan Kinerja. Analisis statistik secara deskriptif meliputi distribusi frekuensi dan persentase. Hasil: Kinerja kepala ruangan kategori baik 42,9% dan buruk 57,1%, sedangkan perawat pelaksana kategori baik 47,4% dan buruk 52,6%. Penerapan SAK oleh kepala ruangan kategori baik 71,4% dan kurang 28,6%,dan untuk perawat pelaksana kategori baik 56,1% dan kurang 43,9%. Pengetahuan Kepala ruangan kategori baik 100%, sedangkan perawat pelaksana dengan kategori baik 78,9% dan kategori cukup 21,1%. Kesimpulan: Kinerja kepala ruangan dan perawat pelaksana masih dibawah rata-rata (kinerja buruk). Dan untuk penerapan SAK sebagian besar sudah baik. Tingkat pengetahuan kepala ruangan dan perawat pelaksana rata-rata sudah mempunyai tingkat pengetauan yang baik, kemudian kinerja kepala ruangan dan perawat pelaksana yang masih buruk, dipengaruhi oleh faktorfaktor lain.

Background: The management of district hospital was directed from nonprofit oriented to autonomy and excellent services. The employees empowerment is directed to improve their attitude and behavior, and increasing the managerial capability and skill. Hospital is demanded to serve in better quality service, hospitality, and patient expectation fulfillment. Nurses as the most excessively and the most first line resources for contribution in hospital quality performance. Objectives: The study was aimed to identify the performance of ward head nurses and practice nurses in performing duty and function, and to complement nursing care standard, and the knowledge of in ward nurses in Kotabaru District General Hospital. Methods: This was on observational study with Cross Sectional. Subject of the study were 64 people. Variable of the study were knowledge, nursing care standard, and performance. Subject were analyzed descriptively by frequent and percentage distribution. Results: The performance of wards head nurses that defined as in good category were only 42.9%, while nurses on duty were only 47.4%. The performance of wards head nurses that defined as bad category were only 57.1%, while nurses on duty were only 52.6%. The implementation of nursing care standard by the ward head that defined good category was 71.4%, while nurses on duty were 56.1% nurses. The implementation of nursing care standard by the ward head that defined bad category was 28.6%, while nurses on duty were 43.9% nurses. The ward head’s knowledge that included into good category was 100%, while nurse’s knowledge were 78.9%, and 21.1% for enough. Conclusions: The performance of ward head nurses and nurses on duty were still under average (bad performance). The most implementation nursing care standard were good. Knowledge level of ward head nurses and nurse on duty, on average were good, probably the performance of ward head nurses and nurses on duty were still under average as influenced by other factors
