Status gizi pada umur di bawah dua tahun (Baduta) sebagai prediksi prestasi belajar remaja

Latar Belakang : Keadaan gizi pada masa usia dibawah dua tahun sangat menentukan keadaan status gizi masa selanjutnya, dan prestasi belajar remaja. Tujuan Penelitian : Tujuan umum dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat sejauh mana efek stunted usia baduta terhadap tinggi badan dan nilai prestasi belajar remaja
Metode : Jenis Penelitian ini adalah observasional dengan menggunakan desain Non Concurrent Prospective Study. Populasi adalah remaja yang pernah menjadi subyek penelitian MORVITA di Kecamatan Purwodadi Kabupaten Purworejo Propinsi Jawa Tengah. Sampel diambil dengan cara Simple Random Sampling. Analisa data menggunakan Chi Square dan Regresi pada tingkat kepercayaan 95% diolah dengan menggunakan soft ware SPSS versi 10 dan untuk melihat besar efek stunted menggunakan soft ware Epi Info Versi 6.
Hasil : Kemungkinan tetap stunted 3,75 kali terjadi pada remaja dengan riwayat baduta stunted (CI 95% : 1,23 Background : The Nutritional Status of children under two years is the important factor of nutritional status and school achievement of adolescence in the coming years.
Objective : To measure the stunted effect to height and the adolescenceÂ’s school achievement.
Methods : The study was observational of the kind and uses Non Concurrent Prospective Study design. The population are adolescences that have ever been the subjects of a MORVITA study in Purwodadi sub district of Purworejo regency, Central Java. The samples are drawn using simple random sampling technique. Data are being analyzed using Chi Square, Analysis of Variance, T-test, Tukey test, Odds Ratio, and Regression at the confidence level of 95% and being processed using the software of SPSS version 10, while the stunted effect is being analyzed using the software of Epi Info Version 6.
Results : The possibility of remaining stunted was 3,75 times occurring in the history of those stunted children under two years (CI 95%: 1,23 < OR < 11,80). The possibility to attain the adolescenceÂ’s school achievement is less than 3,25 time occurring in the history of those stunted children under two years (CI 95%: 1,22 < OR < 8,82). The correlation between the nutritional status of the children under two years and the adolescence is significant and so is the correlation of the nutritional status of the children under two years and the studying achievement of the adolescence. The stunted adolescences have the intelligence score of 12,6 point lower then those who are not stunted. The multivariate statistical test of the correlation between the nutritional status of the adolescence, the family characteristics, the intelligence and the adolescenceÂ’s studying achievement are conducted and it is found that only the nutritional status is correlated. Meanwhile, parents education long term, and per capita income, only per capita income which was related with nutritional status.
Conclusion : Nutritional status of children under two years correlated to the nutritional status and the adolescenceÂ’s school achievement. The nutritional status of the children under two and the adolescences are correlated to the intelligence score.
