Persaingan teki dengan jahe muda pada dosis Nitrogen dan intensitas cahaya berbeda

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh intensitas cahaya dan dosis pupuk nitrogen terhadap persaingan teki dengan tanaman jahe. Penelitian dengan percobaan ini dilakukan di kebun Penelitian Fakultas Pertanian UGM, kecamatan Bangun Tapan, kabupaten Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Percobaan 3 x 9 faktorial ini disusun dalam rancangan split plot dan diulang 5 kali. Faktor pertama intensitas cahaya terdiri atas 3 aras yaitu intensitas cahaya matahari 100% (I1), intensitas cahaya matahari 60% (I2) dan intensitas cahaya matahari 40% (I3). Faktor kedua dosis pupuk nitrogen meliputi : 0 gram N + 30 umbi teki + 1 tanaman jahe per pot (N0), 1 gram N + 30 umbi teki + 1 tanaman jahe per pot (N1), 2 gram N + 30 umbi teki + 1 tanaman jahe per pot (N2), 0 gram N + 30 umbi teki per pot (N3), 1 gram N + 30 umbi teki per pot (N4), 2 gram N + 30 umbi teki per pot (N5), 0 gram N + 1 tanaman jahe per pot (N6), 1 gram N + 1 tanaman jahe per pot (N7), 2 gram N + 1 tanaman jahe per pot (N8). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengurangan intensitas cahaya dapat meningkatkan hasil jahe, tetapi menghambat pertumbuhan teki. Peningkatan dosis nitrogen 1 gram menjadi 2 gram per pot memacu pertumbuhan teki, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil jahe.

A research was done to identify the influence of light intensity and dosage of nitrogen fertilizer on the competition of purple nut sedge with ginger. The experiment was performed at Research Station ofAgricultural Faculty, Gadjah Mada Univcrsity, in Banguntapan subdistrict, Bantul regency, DIY. The 3 c 9 factorial experiment was arranged in split plot design and repeated for five times. First factor was light intensity, consisted of three levels, there were 100% sun light intensity ( I 1 ), 60% sun light intensity ( 12) and 40% sun light intensity (13). The second factor was nitrogen fertilizer dosage, consisted of 0 gram N+ 30 nut sedge tuber + 1 ginger plant per pot (NO), I gram N+ 30 nut sedge tuber F I ginger plant per pot (NI), 2 gram N± 30 nut sedge tuber + I ginger plant per pot (N2), 0 gram N+ 30 nut sedge tuber per pot (N3), I gram N+ 30 nut sedge tuber per pot (N4), 2 gram N+ 30 nut sedge tuber pcr pot (N5), 0 gram N-i- I gingcr plant pcr pot (N6), I gram N+ 1 ginger plant per pot (N7), and 2 gram N+ 1 ginger plant per pot (N8). Result of this research indicates that reduction of light intensity could increase ginger yield, but suppressed the nut sedge growth. The increased of nitrogen dosage from 1 gram to 2 gram per pot trigger nut sedge growth, but not influence ginger yield.
