Tingkat kebisingan pesawat terbang dan respon penduduk Kota Yogyakarta di bawah jalur pendekatan-lepas landas Bandara Adisutjipto

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kebisingan pesawat terbang di beberapa lokasi permukiman Kota Yogyakarta, yang ada di bawah jalur pendekatan-lepas landas Bandara Adisutjipto, dan hubungannya dengan respon penduduk. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Februari-Maret 2004. Kuesioner dibagikan pada penduduk yang bermukim di bawah jalur pendekatan-lepas landas dan penduduk di luar jalur pendekatan-lepas landas untuk mengetahui perbedaan respon terhadap kebisingan pesawat terbang pada kedua kelompok tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gangguan yang ditimbulkan oleh bising pesawat terbang lebih banyak dirasakan oleh penduduk yang tinggal di bawah jalur pendekatan-lepas landas daripada penduduk yang tinggal di luar jalur pendekatan-lepas landas. Semakin dekat lokasi permukiman dengan bandara maka tingkat kebisingan yang diterimanya semakin besar. Namun demikian, peningkatan tingkat kebisingan pesawat terbang ini tidak selalu diikuti oleh peningkatan respon penduduk yang bermukim di bawah jalur terbang. Dalam hal ini, tampaknya respon penduduk terhadap bising pesawat terbang tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh tingkat bising pesawat terbang.

The purpose of this study is to identify the noise levels of aircraft in some residential areas in the city of Yogyakarta that located underneath the flight path of Adisutjipto Airport and its relationship with the resident of Yogyakarta response. Data were collected in the month of February to March, 2004. A questionnaire distributed to two groups, one living within flight path and the other in a nonflight area, sought to determine wether these groups would respond differently to questions about aircraft noise. This study found that residents living within the flight path more bothered by aircraft noise than resident in non flight area. Aircraft noise interfered more frequently with daily activities. A significant correlation has been found between average aircraft noise levels and distance to the airport. However, increased in aircraft noise levels were not relationship with increased in negative response. These investigation indicated that residential of Yogyakarta response to aircraft noise were not only under the influence of aircraft noise levels.
