Uji Banding Keefektifan Antara Latihan Fisik Fenilpropanolamin Tetes Hidung Terhadap Tahanan Nasi Orang Normal

Penderita dengan keluhan obstruksi nasi berulang dan lama karena perubahan mukosa, sering menggunakan obat dekongestan nasal. Penggunaan obat dalam jangka waktu lama dan berulang tentu tidak terlepas dari efek samping. Dicari alternatif lain yang tidak ada efek samping dan sefisiologis mungkin. Kongesti dan dekongesti hidung antara lain dipengaruhi oleh latihan fisiko Masalahnya seberapa jauh efek latihan fisik terhadap tahanan kavitas nasi Disain penelitian ini adalah uji klinis secara random dengan rancangan cross Over. Data dianalisis secara Analisis Varian dan Least Significance Different serta Duncan!s Multiple Range Test. Sukarelawan terdiri dari 54 orang normal diberi perlakuan bersepeda di atas sepeda ergometer. Tahanan kavitas nasi diukur sebelum dan sesudah latihan fisik, pada menit ke 5, 15, 25 dan 35 dengan rinomanometer GAMA 185, selang 2 hari dilakukan cross over dengan diberi fenilpropanolamin tetes hidung dan dilakukan pengukuran yang sama. Diperoleh hasil yang berbeda bermakna antara sebelum dan sesudah latihan fisik, demikian pula berbeda bermakna masing-masing pada menit ke 5, 15, 25 dan 35 dengan puncak pada menit ke 5, selanjutnya terjadi penurunan secara bertahap. Untuk kelompok kontrol juga didapatkan hasil yang berbeda bermakna antar sebelum dan sesudah pemberian fenilpropanolamin tetes hidung, demikian pula berbeda bermakna masing-masing pada menit ke 5, 15, 25 dan 35 dengan puncak pada menit ke 25. Jika dibandingkan efektifitas antara latihan fisik dengan fenilpropanolamin tetes hidung ternyata tidak berbeda bermakna.

The patients with recurrent and long nasal obstruction due to the change of the mucous membrane. often use the nasal decongestant. The long time and repeatedly use of the drug however cannot escaped from the side-effects. The other alternative without side-effects and possibly physiologically is sought. The nasal congestion and decongestion are among other is affected by exercises. The problem is ,that to what extent the effect of the physical exercise on the nasal cavity resistance. The study design are randomised clinical trials, cross over. Data analyses are Varian Analisis and Least Significance different as well as Duncan!s Multiple Range Test. The volunteers consist of 54 normal persons which are treated by cycling on ergometre bicycle. The resistance of the nasal cavity is measured before and after the exercise at the 5th, 15th. 25th and 35th minute using GAMA 85 Rhinomanometer. Two days later. a cross over is performed by administration of Phenylpropanolamine drops with the same methode of measurement. The result is significantly difference before and after the physical exercise, as well as those of the result at minutes the 5th, 15th. 25th and 35th with the peak at the 5th minute. then decrease gradually. The results are also significantly difference for the control group before and after the administration of the nasal phenylprppanolamine drops, and those of the 5th, 15th, 25th and 35th minute with the peak at the 25th minute. The effectiveness between the physical exercise and the administration of the nasal phenylpropanolamine drop are in fact not differed significantly.
