Faktor-faktor perilaku pencegahan HIV/AIDS pada pelanggan PSK di Kota Sorong :: Studi di Distrik Sorong Barat

Latar Belakang. Masalah HlV/AIDS di kota Sorong sangatlah serius karena telah mencapai 53 kasus HIV/AIDS. Ada beberapa yang mempengaruhi cepat penyebaran penyakit HIVAIDS adalah 1) Program promosi kondom khususnya kelompok beresiko dan kegiatan konseling terhadap pengidap, HIV/AIDS belum berjalan efektif, 2) Pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku pencegahan pelanggan PSK yang belum mendukung berbagai program penanggulangan HIV/AIDS, 3) Kemampuan anggaran promosi kesehatan yang terbatas dan belum efektifnya KPAD (Komisi Penanggulangan Aids Daerah). Perilaku pencegahan HlV/AIDS yang dilakukan pelanggan PSK pada bar belum nampak. Hal ini dapat dilihat karena jumlah pelanggan PSK yang berkunjung ke bar tampak cukup ramai tanpa mengenal waktu baik siang maupun malam. Tujuan : Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan, sikap, keyakinan atas norma, karakteristik demografi, dukungan keluarga dan dukungan petugas kesehatan pada pelanggan PSK terhadap perilaku pencegahan penyebaran penyakit HIV/AIDS di kota Sorong. Metode : Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pertama kali di kota Sorong, di distrik Sorong barat dengan mengevaluasi pelanggan PSK yang berkunjung ke bar, dan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara mendalam dan observasi yang berisikan pertanyaan-pertanyaan berkisar perilaku pencegahan penyakit HIV/AIDS. Hasil : Tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna, antara variabel-vaniabel (pengetahuan, sikap, keyakinan atas norma, karakteristik demografi, dukungan keluarga dan dukungan petugas kesehatan) pada pelanggan PSK Kesimpulan : Tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara variabel-variabel (pengetahuan, sikap, keyakinan atas norma, karakteristik demografi, dukungan keluarga dan dukungan petugas kesehatan) sehingga perlu adanya peningkatan pengetahuan tentang pencegahan penyebaran HIV/AIDS.

Background. Problem of HIV/AIDS in Sorong city is very serious because it has reached 53 cases. There are some influential factors causing the rapid spread of the HIV/AIDS disease; 1) Program of condom promotion especially for the risky group and counseling to the sufferer of HIV/AID is ineffective, 2) knowledge, attitude, and behavior of preventing the prostitution customizing does not support the prevention program for the HIV/AID, 3) Capability of health promotion budget is limited and Local Commission of Prevention for Aids is not effective. Preventive behavior of HIV/AID by costumers of prostitution in a bar is insignificant. It can be seen that there are a lot of costumers visiting the bar in both daytime and nighttime. Objective : The purpose of this research is to find out relation of knowledge, attitude, belief of norms, characteristic of demography, support of family and physicians toward the customers of prostitution concerning prevention of the disease spread in Sorong city. Method : The first, the research took place in Sorong city, district of Eastern Sorong by evaluating the customers visiting the bar, using quantitative method through spreading the questionnaires, deep interview, observation containing questions about preventive behavior for the disease. Result : There is not any significant relation among the variables (knowledge, attitude, behavior, belief of norms, characteristic of demography, support of family and physicians) to the customers. Conclusion : There is not any significant relation among the variables ((knowledge, attitude, behavior, belief of norms, characteristic of demography, support of family and physicians). Therefore, it needs the improvement of knowledge about prevention of HIV/AIDS disease.
