The carbon paste electrode (CPE) was modified with MWCNT, EDTA, and PVA. The modified electrode was prepared using a grinding method, and the resulting material was introduced into a holder with a diameter of 0.46 cm. The electrode material was characterized using SEM, FTIR, XRD, and XPS to investigate its morphological features, functional groups, crystallinity, and elemental composition. The detection of Cu(II) ions was carried out using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and square-wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWAV) within a potential range of -1 to 1 V, with a deposition time of 180 seconds, a deposition potential of -0.80 V, an amplitude of 0.015 V, a frequency of 30 Hz, and a potential increment of 0.05 V in a 0.1 M NH?Cl solution at pH 5. The modified EDTA/PVA/MWCNT-CPE electrode exhibited a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.0457 ?M and a limit of quantification (LOQ) of 0.1524 ?M. The results showed a reproducibility relative standard deviation (RSD) of 0.51%, repeatability of 0.43%, and stability of 95% over six days, with a linear response range of 0.1–2.7 ?M. Selectivity tests were conducted to assess the effect of potential interferences on the voltammetric response of Cu(II) ions using the EDTA/PVA/MWCNT-CPE, resulting in a recovery percentage of 99.89%. The novelty of this electrode lies in its rapid analysis time, making it a promising candidate for future applications in heavy metal ion sensing.
