Struktur Tematik Berita Mengenai Joe Biden di Al Jazeera: Analisis Linguistik Sistemik Fungsional

Joe Biden di Al Jazeera tahun 2023. Berita yang dipilih merupakan berita dengan popularitas tertinggi berdasarkan tren dari Google Trends dan Google Search. Teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisis teks adalah teori Halliday sebagai teori utama dan teori al-Gul?yaini sebagai teori pendukung untuk menganalisis struktur sintaksis Arab. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, yaitu penyediaan data dengan teknik simak-catat, dianalisis dengan metode padan intralingual, dan disajikan dengan metode informal.

Berdasarkan analisis terhadap 77 data, ditemukan 100 tema topikal yang terbagi atas 95 tema topikal takbermarkah dan 5 tema topikal bermarkah, 19 tema interpersonal, serta 36 tema tekstual. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tema topikal takbermarkah berupa pola jumlah fi’liyah menjadi tema yang paling banyak digunakan dalam teks. Penelitian ini juga menyoroti bahwa ketiga jenis tema tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa Joe Biden, sebagai Presiden AS, memiliki andil besar dalam mendukung Israel di berbagai sektor dengan berbagai cara pada konflik Israel-Palestina. Selain itu, Israel juga dinarasikan sebagai negara yang diistimewakan oleh AS melalui kebijakan-kebijakan yang dibuat, terutama kebijakan yang bersifat dukungan finansial dan dukungan militer.

This study aims to examine the textual meaning in the news about Joe Biden on Al Jazeera in 2023. The selected news is the news with the highest popularity based on trends from Google Trends and Google Search. The theories used to analyze the text are Halliday's theory as the main theory and al-Gul?yaini's theory as the supporting theory to analyze the Arabic syntactic structure. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, which is the provision of data with the technique of simak-catat, analyzed with the method of intralingual pairing, and presented with informal method.

Based on the analysis of 77 data, 100 topical themes were found which are divided into 95 unmarked topical themes and 5 marked topical themes, 19 interpersonal themes, and 36 textual themes. The analysis shows that the unmarked topical theme in the form of fi'liyah number pattern is the most used theme in the text. This study also highlights that the three types of themes indicate that Joe Biden, as the US President, has a big share in supporting Israel in various sectors in various ways in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In addition, Israel is also narrated as a country that is privileged by the US through policies made, especially policies that are financial support and military support.
