Audience Reception Analysis Toward "Papua Issues" in Music Lyrics

Music is an exceedingly potent and influential tool for articulating human emotions and thoughts. Additionally, it serves as a medium for conveying messages, encouraging action, and expressing personal ambitions.. The aesthetic qualities inherent in music amplify the effect of the message or aspiration, as the innate beauty of music wields substantial influence. The convergence of music and socio-political discourse has historically provided a rich environment for both artistic expression and academic investigation. The issue addressed in this study pertains to the portrayal of Papua Issues within the lyrics of the songs. This study aims to identify the interpretations of the audiences of the situations that depicted in song lyrics, with a particular focus on the social problems prevalent in Papua. The objective of this study investigates the way in which audiences perceive and understand the Papua Issues that are incorporated within the lyrics, offering valuable understanding into the wider cultural environment. Through the analysis of the reception of musical works, we can acquire a more profound comprehension of how music functions as a means to increase consciousness and stimulate transformative action. This study aims to investigate the utilization of music lyrics composition as an individual ambition within the issues that occur in Papua, emphasizing the profound influence of music in tackling social concerns.
