Self-Talk Frequency and Its Impact Towards Communication Apprehension in Generalized-Contexts Among Indonesian Emerging Adults in Higher Education

Komunikasi sangat penting untuk pribadi dan akademis, namun banyak individu mengalami kecemasan komunikasi, yang dapat menghambat kemampuan mereka untuk berinteraksi secara efektif. Penelitian ini menguji nilai prediktif antara frekuensi self-talk dan kecemasan komunikasi di kalangan orang dewasa muda Indonesia yang sedang menempuh pendidikan tinggi. Desain kuantitatif mengumpulkan data dari 115 peserta melalui Self-Talk Scale (STS) dan Personal Report of Communication Apprehension (PRCA-24). Communication is essential for personal and academic success, yet many individuals experience communication apprehension, which can hinder their ability to interact effectively. This study examines the predictive value of self-talk frequency towards communication apprehension among Indonesian emerging adults in higher education.
