Pengaruh Tingkat Grit Manajer Proyek dan Kompleksitas Proyek terhadap Kinerja Proyek Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi di Indonesia

Proyek bidang teknologi informasi dan komunikasi di Indonesia terus berkembang pesat. Namun, perkembangan tersebut tidak luput dari kegagalan, baik dalam bentuk keterlambatan atau pengeluaran proyek yang lebih dari anggarannya. Grit atau perpaduan antara gairah dan kegigihan dalam mencapai sesuatu dari seorang manajer proyek diduga berperan penting agar dapat membuatnya terus berjuang dan memotivasi anggota-anggotanya dalam mencapai keberhasilan suatu proyek. Di sisi lain, kompleksitas proyek merupakan salah satu faktor yang diduga dapat memberikan pengaruh negatif terhadap kinerja proyek teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh grit dari manajer proyek dan kompleksitas proyek terhadap kinerja proyek bidang teknologi informasi dan komunikasi di Indonesia.
Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa kuesioner yang dikembangkan dari penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya untuk mengukur tingkat grit manajer proyek, kompleksitas proyek, serta kinerja proyek. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dan cross-sectional dengan menargetkan manajer proyek teknologi informasi dan komunikasi di Indonesia sebagai subjek penelitian. Instrumen penelitian tersebut kemudian disebarkan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling pada 398 calon responden dan berhasil dikembalikan oleh 176 responden. Namun, hanya terdapat 100 data responden yang dapat dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode statistika multivariat berupa Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian.
Hasil analisis penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa grit manajer proyek secara positif memengaruhi kinerja proyek teknologi informasi dan komunikasi di Indonesia. Kompleksitas proyek juga terbukti secara negatif memengaruhi kinerja proyek teknologi informasi dan komunikasi di Indonesia. Namun, pada penelitian ini, kompleksitas proyek tidak terbukti dapat memoderasi hubungan positif antara grit manajer proyek dan kinerja proyek tersebut. Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kesadaran praktisi manajemen proyek terkait pentingnya peranan grit terhadap kinerja proyek teknologi informasi dan komunikasi di Indonesia.
Information and communication technology (ICT) projects in Indonesia continue to grow rapidly. However, this development is not without failures, including delays and project expenditures exceeding the budget. Grit, defined as the combination of passion and perseverance in achieving goals, is believed to play a crucial role in ensuring project managers remain persistent and motivate their team members to achieve project success. On the other hand, project complexity is suspected to have a negative impact on the performance of ICT projects. This study aims to examine the influence of project managers’ grit and project complexity on the performance of ICT projects in Indonesia. The research instrument used in this study is a questionnaire developed based on previous studies to measure project managers' grit, project complexity, and project performance. This study adopts a quantitative and cross-sectional approach, targeting ICT project managers in Indonesia as research subjects. The questionnaire was distributed using purposive sampling to 398 prospective respondents, with 176 responses received. However, only 100 responses were eligible for analysis using multivariate statistical methods, specifically Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA), to test the research hypotheses. The results indicate that project managers' grit positively influences the performance of ICT projects in Indonesia. Additionally, project complexity has been found to negatively impact ICT project performance. However, in this study, project complexity was not proven to moderate the positive relationship between project managers' grit and project performance. This research is expected to raise awareness among project management practitioners regarding the importance of grit in enhancing the performance of ICT projects in Indonesia.
