This thesis depicts collective actions in reproducing indigenous knowledge on food diversity in the Lakoat Kujawas community. This research aims to comprehend the dynamic formation of collective actions and identify the agenda in reproducing indigenous knowledge through local food issues by the Lakoat Kujawas community. Using Alberto Melucci's theory of collective action and Karl Mannheim's theory of the sociology of knowledge, this research shows that collective action in reproducing indigenous knowledge has played an essential role in shaping collective identity. This collective identity is formed through various community dynamics influenced by the system of opportunities and constraints, the resources and purposes of the actors, as well as the calculation of costs and benefits. This research also suggests that the process of reproducing indigenous knowledge on the issue of local food diversity is closely related to the nature of relationalism and particularisation, where the re-production of knowledge by subjects in the Lakoat Kujawas community is influenced by social relations and cultural structures in Mollo. The process of reproducing indigenous knowledge related to local food diversity by the Lakoat Kujawas community goes through three stages which include exploring the hometown, documenting and practicing knowledge, and disseminating knowledge. This qualitative research with an ethnographic approach involved subjects from Lakoat Kujawas community members, indigenous leaders, and village leaders. As a result, the research contributes to the understanding of the relationship between collective action, indigenous knowledge, and collective identity in a community context.
