Perawatan kelas II Kennedy modifikasi 1 rahang bawah dengan Extracoronal Attachment MK I desain unilateral

Pembuatan Gigi Tiruan Sebagian Lepasan ujung bebas satu sisi biasanya memakai desain bilateral agar Gigi Tiruan Sebagian Lepasan stabil. Alternatif lain adalah Gigi Tiruan Sebagian Lepasan dengan attachment. Laporan kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Gigi Tiruan Sebagian Lepasan dengan extracoronal attachment MK I desain unilateral dapat dipakai sebagai perawatan kasus kelas II Kennedy. Laporan kasus dilakukan terhadap pasien laki-laki berumur 33 tahun dengan kehilangan gigi 4 6 7 8 . Pasien sudah pernah memakai Gigi Tiruan Sebagian Lepasan sebanyak dua kali tetapi merasa tidak nyaman karena adanya plat yang melintang ditengah rahang dan estetik kurang memuaskan karena lengan cengkram terlihat. Rehabilitasi dilakukan memakai Gigi Tiruan Sebagian Lepasan dengan extracoronal attachment MK I desain unilateral. Gigi Tiruan dengan extracoronal attachment MK I terdiri dari female yang diletakkan pada bagian distal gigi penyangga dan male diletakkan pada bagian mesial gigi tiruan yang membentuk hubungan yang presisi, terpisah dan dapat dibuka serta dilepas sendiri oleh pasien . Extracoronal attachment MK I mempunyai prinsip kerja sliding attachment dan dilengkapi dengan sumbu horisontal yang berfungsi sebagai pengunci. Kontrol 1hari dan 1 minggu setelah insersi estetik, oklusi, retensi, stabilisasi baik dan plak kontrol baik. Kesimpulan laporan kasus adalah Gigi Tiruan Sebagian Lepasan dengan extracoronal attachment MK I dapat dipakai sebagai perawatan kasus kelas II Kennedy.

In making of unilateral free end partial dentures are usually used bilateral design to make the partial dentures stabilize. The purpose of this case report was to know that partial denture with MK I extracoronal attachment unilateral design can be used as a case treatment Kennedy class II modification 1 mandibula. Case report was done of a man 33 years old with losses teeth 4 6 7 8 . The patient has already used twice partial denture but he felt discomfort with there was a plate in the central low jaw and the aesthetic unsatisfied because the arm clasp could be seen. Rehabilitation was done by partial denture with MK I extracoronal attachment unilateral design. The partial denture with MK I extracoronal attachment were a female on distal abutment teeth and a male on mesial partial denture that united in precision relation, separated and the patient can remove and insert it. MK I extracoronal attachment has a principal work sliding attachment and an axis horizontal as a key lock. The controls were done by one day and one week after the insertion. The result showed that there was a good condition of aesthetic, retention, stabilization and plaque control. The conclusion of this case report was partial denture with MK I extracoronal attachment could be used as a case treatment Kennedy class II mandibula.
