Pengaruh jumlah tumbukan dan lama perendaman terhadap karakteristik campuran panas bergradasi superpave diameter nominal maksimum 19,00 mm pada VMA tinggi berdasar uji Marshall

Keawetan campuran dipengaruhi oleh rongga dalam mineral agregat (VMA), untuk itu perlu didesain untuk mencegah terjadinya kerusakan akibat beban lanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari komposisi campuran yang baik dan memenuhi persyaratan spesifikasi pada campuran panas bergradasi superpave diameter nominal maksimum 19,00 mm, agar memiliki stabilitas yang kuat untuk menghindari terjadinya kerusakan akibat peningkatan beban. Penelitian menggunakan bahan aspal dan agregat bergradasi VMA tinggi (+>2 dari VMA standar 13%) yaitu 16VMA19. Dengan variasi kadar aspal pada gradasi terpilih diperoleh VFWA rendah, sedang dan tinggi. Pengujian dilakukan pada tumbukan 2x75, 2x100, 2x200 dan perendaman pada Water batch suhu 60°C selama 0,5 jam, 24 jam, 42 jam dan 72 jam. Hasil void analysis dan uji Marshall akan diperoleh nilai density, VITM, VMA, VFWA, stabilitas, flow dan MQ serta tingkat durabilitas campuran yang dibandingkan terhadap spesifikasi Kimpraswil 2000 dan Superpave. Hasil penelitian benda uji, rentang selisih nilai VMA rancangan benda uji dan VMA benda uji untuk pengujian, terbesar pada gradasi VMA=17,730% yaitu 4,96%. Pengaruh peningkatan jumlah tumbukan mengakibatkan kenaikan nilai dencity (1,128%-1,845%), VFWA (7,538%-11,324%), stabilitas (16,546%- 28,828%), MQ (22,461%-35,241%) dan penurunan nilai VMA (5,787%-8,449%), VITM (17,339%-31,854%), flow (3,386%-5,022%). Pengaruh lama perendaman mengakibatkan penurunan nilai stabilitas gradasi VMA=16,362% rata-rata 9,392%, gradasi VMA=17,730% rata-rata 6,589%, gradasi VMA=18,187% ratarata 9,927%. Campuran direkomendasi untuk beban lanjutan sesuai spesifikasi Kimpraswil 2000 adalah gradasi VMA=16,362% VFWA 74,810%, gradasi VMA=17,730% VFWA 63,224%, 69,449%, 74,789%, gradasi VMA=18,187% VFWA 68,031%, yang direkomendasi spesifikasi Superpave adalah gradasi VMA=17,730% VFWA 69,449%, 74,789%, gradasi VMA=18,187% VFWA 68,031%.
The compacting road continuation caused by the traffic flow will decrease the volume of voids in the mixed asphalt and cause road damage before the design year. The durability was influenced with voids in the mineral aggregate (VMA). The design of VMA is needed to get the best composition and comply the specification of hot mixed asphalt with superpave gradation and 19,00 mm nominal maximum sized to get the strong stability and prevent the damage that caused by load increased. This research used asphalt material and aggregate with high VMA gradation (+>2 from VMA standard 13%) i.e. 16³VMA³19. In the choose gradation with specific asphalt content, there were low, medium and high VFMA. The test did in the 2 x 75 blows, 2 x 100 blows and 2 x 200 blows with immersion on 60°C during 0,5 hours, 24 hours, 42 hours and 72 hours. Void analysis and Marshall test carried out to get the value of density, VITM, VMA< VFWA, stability, flow, MQ and increasing of durability mixed asphalt that compared with Kimpraswil (2000) and superpave specification. The biggest difference value between VMA for design material test and VMA for material test is in 17,730% VMA with 4,96% difference. The increasing number of blow caused the increasing value of density (1,128%-1,845%), VFMA (7,538%-11,324%), stability (16,546%-28,828%), MQ (22,461%-35,241%) and caused the decreasing value of VMA (5,787%-8,449%), VITM (17,339%- 31,854%), flow (3,386%-5,022%). The immersion time caused the decreasing value of stability 16,362%VMA average in 9,392%, 17,730% VMA average in 6,589%, 18,187% VMA average in 9,972%. According to the Kimpraswil specification, the asphalt mixed is recommended to the 16,362% of VMA with 74,810% VFWA, the 17,730% of VMA with 63,224%, 69,449%, 74,789% VFWA, the 18,187% of VMA with 68,031 VFWA. According to the superpave specification, the asphalt mixed is recommended to the 17,730% of VMA with 69,449 and 74,789% VFWA, the 18,187% of VMA with 68,031% VFMA
