Benevolent Childhood Experiences-20 (BCEs-20): Adaptasi dan Identifikasi Properti Psikometrik Versi Indonesia

Pengalaman positif masa kecil sebagai salah satu aset perkembangan dapat meningkatkan potensi individu menjadi lebih resilien dan menjadi faktor pelindung dan promotif bagi faktor risiko. Benevolent Childhood Experiences-20 (BCEs-20) sebagai instrumen yang mengindeks pengalaman positif masa kecil dan dinilai mencakup secara lebih komprehensif konstrak tersebut masih berkembang amat terbatas, terutama di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengadaptasi dan melakukan identifikasi properti psikometrik instrumen BCEs-20 versi Indonesia pada konteks individu dewasa. Sejumlah 346 individu dewasa muda terlibat sebagai partisipan penelitian ini. Peneliti melakukan adaptasi instrumen ke dalam bahasa Indonesia melalui lima tahap, termasuk melakukan uji validitas isi. Identifikasi properti psikometrik dilanjutkan dengan Item Factor Analysis (IFA) dan analisis Rasch. Hasil IFA mengonfirmasi bahwa BCEs-20 versi Indonesia memiliki struktur unidimensi dengan indeks kesesuaian model yang sangat baik. Analisis Rasch menunjukkan adanya satu pasangan aitem yang bersifat Locally Dependent. Meski demikian, sebagian besar aitem memenuhi kriteria infit dan outfit MNSQ. Lebih spesifik, terdapat satu aitem yang mengandung DIF berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Adapun reliabilitas person separation menunjukkan koefisien yang memuaskan, yaitu sebesar 0,91. Secara keseluruhan, BCEs-20 versi Indonesia mampu mengukur pengalaman positif masa kecil secara valid dan reliabel.

Positive childhood experiences, as a developmental asset, can enhance an individual's potential to become more resilient and serve as both protective and promotive factors against risks. The Benevolent Childhood Experiences-20 (BCEs-20), an instrument designed to index positive childhood experiences comprehensively, has shown limited development, particularly in Indonesia. Therefore, this study aimed to adapt and evaluate the psychometric properties of the Indonesian version of the BCEs-20 in the context of adult individuals. A total of 346 young adults participated in this study. The researchers adapted the instrument into Indonesian through five stages, including content validity assessment. The evaluation of psychometric properties was conducted using Item Factor Analysis (IFA) and Rasch analysis. The IFA results confirmed that the Indonesian version of BCEs-20 possesses a unidimensional structure with excellent model fit indices. The Rasch analysis revealed one pair of locally dependent items. Nevertheless, most items met the criteria for infit and outfit MNSQ. Specifically, one item exhibited Differential Item Functioning (DIF) based on gender. The person separation reliability coefficient demonstrated satisfactory reliability, with a value of 0.91. In summary, the Indonesian version of BCEs-20 is a valid and reliable instrument for measuring positive childhood experiences.
