The discovery of world-class deposits such as Batuhijau, Elang, and Hu'u has significantly enhanced the interest in further exploration of mineral prospects on Sumbawa Island. One promising yet underexplored area is the Doro Ncilo prospect, located within the Tolo'Oi Mineralization Block. Administratively, the research area is located within the village of Tolo'oi, Tarano District, Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. This study aims to determine the characteristics of geological conditions, alteration, and ore mineralization within the hydrothermal deposit system in the research area. The research methodology used in this study includes field data acquisition and mapping, petrographic analysis, mineralogical analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, and scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDS). The geomorphology of the study area consist of denuded caldera hill units, denuded lava flow hill units, and alluvial plain units. The lithology of the research area, arranged in chronological order from oldest to youngest, consist of tuff units, lapilli tuff units, phreatomagmatic breccia units, basalt units, andesite breccia units, and pebble-cobble units. Alteration zoning from the proximal to distal areas is characterized by silicification alteration (quartz±dickite±alunite), silica dominated advanced argillic alteration (quartz+alunite±dickite), clay dominated advanced argillic alteration (kaolinite+dickite+quartz±alunite), and argillic alteration (kaolinite+illite+quartz±dickite). Ore minerals are found in a disseminated form and veinlets, including gold, pyrite, rutile, sphalerite, hematite, and goethite. The distribution of mineralization is controlled by the presence of N NW-S SE and NW-SE trending structures and the permeability of the phreatomagmatic breccia. The stages of mineralization consist of the hypogene fluid stage and the supergene activity stage. Based on these characteristics, the research area can be categorized as a high sulfidation epithermal deposit formed at shallow depths.
