PROBLEMATIKA CYBORG: TELAAH FILOSOFIS POST- PHENOMENOLOGY PETER-PAUL VERBEEK

Ide tentang cyborg yang akan meningkatkan kemampuan manusia dengan cepat menggiring imajinasi publik dan perhatian para ilmuwan untuk meneliti lebih jauh tentang cyborg. Cyborg merupakan gabungan dua entitas yang menjadi satu yaitu manusia dan artefak teknologi. Interaksi manusia dan teknologi menjadi sangat intim sejak awal abad ke-20 yang membuat manusia lebih mudah untuk mengakses sesuatu. Di sisi lain, program implan ke dalam organ tubuh manusia telah berkembang seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi. Dengan demikian, fenomena cyborg tidak dapat dihindari di era modern seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginterpretasi bentuk relasi manusia dan teknologi sehingga dapat dikatakan sebagai entitas cyborg. Objek formal yang digunakan adalah pandangan Post-phenomenology Peter-Paul Verbeek untuk membedah dan menganalisis bentuk interaksi manusia-teknologi.

Penelitian bersifat kualitatif ini merupakan kajian filsafat deskriptif interpretatif dan berupaya menghasilkan analisis filosofis terhadap permasalahan aktual teknologi yaitu Cyborg. Melalui pendekatan tersebut akan diperoleh sebuah kesimpulan filosofis yang disusun secara sistematis dan komprehensif melalui tahapan penelitian yang runtut, logis, dan koheren.

Hasil penelitian yang dicapai yaitu: (1) Cyborg adalah secara keseluruhan aktivitas manusia yang terintegrasi oleh teknologi yang merupakan entitas baru melalui interaksi teknologi. (2) Pandangan Peter-Paul Verbeek melalui intensionalitas dan teori mediasi melihat cyborg sebagai bentuk baru yang terjadi karena hibridisasi hubungan manusia dan teknologi yang menjadi satu membentuk suatu entitas baru yaitu cyborg.

The idea of cyborgs that would enhance human capabilities quickly captured the public's imagination and scientists' attention to research more about cyborgs. Cyborgs are a combination of two entities that become one: humans and technological artifacts. The interaction between humans and technology has become very intimate since the early 20th century, which makes it easier for humans to access things. On the other hand, implant programs into human organs have evolved along with the development of technology. Thus, the phenomenon of cyborgs is inevitable in the modern era as technology advances. This research aims to interpret the form of human and technology relations so that it can be said to be a cyborg entity. The formal object used is Peter-Paul Verbeek's Post- Phenomenology view to dissect and analyze the form of human-technology interaction.

This qualitative research is an interpretative descriptive philosophy study and seeks to produce a philosophical analysis of the actual problems of technology, namely Cyborgs. Through this approach, a philosophical conclusion will be obtained which is organized systematically and comprehensively through coherent, logical, and coherent research stages.

The research results achieved are: (1) Cyborg is an overall human activity integrated by technology which is a new entity through technological interaction.(2) Peter-Paul Verbeek's view through intentionality and mediation theory sees cyborgs as a new form that occurs due to the hybridization of human and technological relationships that become one to form a new entity, namely cyborgs.
