Analisis Daya Dukung Sumberdaya Air di Sub DAS Serang Sekiyep, Kulon Progo

Sub Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Serang Sekiyep Kulon Progo merupakan salah satu wilayah rawan kekeringan. Kekeringan terjadi salah satunya karena adanya ketidakseimbangan antara ketersediaan dan kebutuhan air oleh masyarakat. Sebagai upaya mitigasi bencana kekeringan di Sub DAS Serang Sekiyep, diperlukan analisis daya dukung sumberdaya air untuk mengetahui kondisi ketersediaan dan kebutuhan air masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui status daya dukung sumberdaya air di Sub DAS Serang Sekiyep.

Ketersediaan air dihitung dengan analisis neraca air dari FJ Mock. Kebutuhan air domestik dihitung berdasarkan observasi dan wawancara kepada masyarakat yang termasuk ke dalam wilayah Sub DAS Serang Sekiyep. Kebutuhan air non-domestik dihitung berdasarkan Peraturan Dirjen Cipta Karya. Kebutuhan air peternakan dihitung berdasarkan Standar Nasional Indonesia SNI tentang penyusunan neraca sumberdaya. Kebutuhan air perikanan dihitung berdasarkan perkalian volume kolam bioflok dengan jumlah kolam. Kebutuhan air untuk pemanfaatan berbasis tutupan lahan mengacu pada Pedoman Perhitungan Daya Dukung Daya Tampung KLHK. Status daya dukung sumberdaya air selanjutnya ditentukan dengan membandingkan nilai ketersediaan air dan kebutuhan air di Sub DAS Serang Sekiyep.

Dari hasil perhitungan diketahui bahwa, total ketersediaan air adalah sebesar 10.362.072.129 liter/tahun yang terdiri dari air tanah sebesar 3.493.894.513 liter/tahun dan air permukaan sebesar 6.868.177.616 liter/tahun. Sedangkan total kebutuhan air adalah sebesar 1.686.311.859,3 liter/tahun. Status daya dukung sumberdaya air di Sub DAS Serang Sekiyep dari air tanah mengalami surplus pada bulan Januari-April dan defisit pada bulan Mei-Desember, sedangkan dari aliran permukaan surplus pada bulan Januari-April, imbang pada bulan Mei, dan defisit pada bulan Juni-Desember. Secara keseluhan, daya dukung Sub DAS Serang Sekiyep mengalami surplus pada bulan basah dan defisit pada bulan kering. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa perlu adanya upaya mitigasi kekeringan dengan pembuatan Instalasi Pemanenan Air Hujan (IPAH) untuk menampung kelebihan air hujan untuk dimanfaatkan pada bulan kering.


The Serang Sekiyep Sub-Watershed in Kulon Progo is identified as one of the regions vulnerable to drought. Drought occurrences are primarily driven by the imbalance between the availability of water and the water demand of the local population. To mitigate the impact of drought in the Serang Sekiyep Sub- Watershed, it is essential to analyze the carrying capacity of water resources in order to evaluate the current state of water availability and demand. This study aims to assess the status of the water resource carrying capacity in the Serang Sekiyep Sub- Watershed.

Water availability was determined using the water balance analysis method developed by FJ Mock. Domestic water demand was estimated based on observations and interviews with the local community within the Serang Sekiyep Sub-Watershed. Non-domestic water demand was calculated according to the guidelines established by the Directorate General of Human Settlements. Livestock water demand was assessed based on the standards outlined in SNI concerning resource balance preparation. Aquaculture water demand was determined by multiplying the volume of biofloc ponds by the number of ponds. Water demand for land-use-based activities followed the guidelines for Carrying Capacity Calculations KLHK. The status of water resource carrying capacity was then determined by comparing the values of water availability with water demand within the Serang Sekiyep Sub-Watershed.

The results of the analysis revealed that the total water availability is 10,362,072,129 liters per year, which consists of 3,493,894,513 liters per year from groundwater and 6,868,177,616 liters per year from surface water. In contrast, the total water demand amounts to 1,686,311,859.3 liters per year. The carrying capacity status of groundwater in the Serang Sekiyep Sub-Watershed shows a surplus from January to April and a deficit from May to December. Similarly, surface water availability is in surplus from January to April, balanced in May, and in deficit from June to December. Overall, the carrying capacity of the Serang Sekiyep Sub-Watershed experiences a surplus during wet months and a deficit during dry months. This indicates the need for drought mitigation efforts, such as constructing rainwater harvesting systems to store excess rainwater for use during dry periods.
