Salah satu faktor penting dalam pengimplementasian teknologi informasi adalah manusia yang akan menggunakan teknologi informasi tersebut. Dari prespektif tersebut tesis ini akan mencari faktor apa saja yang memepengaruhi individu atau mahasiswa dalam mengunakan teknologi informasi. Dengan demikian, memahami faktor -faktor penting yang mempengaruhi penerimaan teknolgi informasi bagi individu atau mahasiswa dalam organisasi sangatlah penting. Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) dan Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa STIE YKPN. Dua hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diuji menggunakan regresi ganda. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang sangat berpengaruh adalah Attitude, Subjective norm and Behavioral Control disamping itu faktor perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use juga cukup mempengaruhi dalam penerimaan teknolgi informasi. Kombinasi antara Attitude, Subjective norm and Behavioral Control dengan faktor perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use akan memberikan hasil yang lebih baik.

One of the importance factors to implement information technology is individual who uses that information technology. From that perspective this thesis will be aimed at finding what factors that make an individual or students want to accept information technology. Thus understanding the important factors affecting the acceptance of Information Technology for students within the company is crucial. The Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) are used in this research. The respondents of this research are the students at STIE YKPN. Two hypotheses were tested using multiple regressions. The results from this study are most influential ones are Attitude, Subjective norm and Behavioral Control. Besides, the factors perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use are also influential. The combination of Attitude, Subjective norm and Behavioral Control with factors perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use will give more better result.
