KEANEKARAGAMAN JENIS POHON PENYUSUN HUTAN ALAM DI CAGAR ALAM PESON SUBAH II

Cagar Alam Peson Subah II merupakan sebuah kawasan konservasi yang ditunjuk melalui SK. Penunjukan Menteri Kehutanan No. SK. 359/Menhut-II/2004. Cagar Alam Peson Subah II berlokasi di Desa Gondang, Kecamatan Subah, Kabupaten Batang dengan luasan ±10 Ha. Proses ekologis sebuah cagar alam pada umumnya dibiarkan secara alami sebagai penciri ekosistem asli dengan jenis-jenis khas/asli sebagai komunitas penyusunnya. Sejak ditetapkannya saat zaman kolonial hingga sekarang, Cagar Alam Peson Subah II belum memiliki informasi lengkap terutama mengenai jenis-jenis pohon penyusunnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur kuantitatif dan komposisinya beserta keanekaragaman di komunitas hutan Cagar Alam Peson Subah II.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode systematic sampling dengan desain nestedplot yang berjarak 50 meter. Pengambilan data meliputi jenis-jenis pohon pada berbagai tingkat pertumbuhan beserta jumlah individunya, dan besaran ukuran diameter setinggi dada (dbh)/keliling beserta tingginya. Analisis data meliputi perhitungan nilai Indeksi Nilai Penting (INP) dan tingkat keanekaragaman jenisnya menggunakan rumus Indeks Diversitas Shannon-Wiener.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ekosistem hutan di Cagar Alam Peson Subah II merupakan hutan suksesi tua dataran rendah yang masih utuh dan alami dengan komposisinya yang terdiri dari 47 jenis pohon yang terbagi dalam 22 famili dari besaran Intensitas Sampingnya (IS) sebesar 16%. Menurut hasil nilai INP, pada tingkatan semai didominasi oleh Girang (Leea indica) dengan INP 34,09%, Dluwak (Microcos tomentosa) pada tingkatan pancang dan tiang dengan masing-masing nilai INP sebesar 46,989?n 76,5%, dan tingkatan pohon didominasi oleh Kedoya (Dysoxylum gaudichaudianum) dengan INP 52,608%. Hasil perhitungan Indeks Diversitas Shannon-Wiener pada berbagai tingkat pertumbuhan pohon di hutan Cagar Alam Peson Subah II memiliki nilai H’, yaitu tingkatan semai sebesar 2,785; pancang sebesar 2,294; tiang sebesar 2,664; dan  pohon sebesar 2,833.

Peson Subah II Nature Reserve is a conservation area designated through the decree of the Minister of Environment and Forestry No. SK. 359/Menhut-II/2004. Peson Subah II Nature Reserve is an area of ±10 Ha located in Gondang Village, Subah District, Batang Regency. The ecological processes of a nature reserve generally reflect the natural characteristics of the original ecosystem, with typical or indigenous species forming its constituent communities. Since its establishment during colonial times until now, the Peson Subah II Nature Reserve has not yet had complete information, especially regarding the types of trees that make up its ecosystem. This research aims to determine the quantitative structure, composition, and diversity in the forest community of Peson Subah II Nature Reserve.

This research uses a systematic sampling method with a nested plot design spaced 50 meters apart. Data collection includes tree species at various growth stages, including the number of individuals, the diameter at breast height (dbh)/circumference size, and height. Data analysis includes calculating the Important Value Index (Indeks Nilai Penting; INP) and the level of species diversity using the Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index formula.

The results of this research show that the Peson Subah II Nature Reserve is an old successional lowland forest with a forest ecosystem that is still intact and natural with a composition consisting of 47 tree species divided into 22 families with a Side Intensity (IS) of 16%. According to the INP value results, at the seedling level, it is dominated by Girang (Leea indica) with an INP of 34.09%, Dluwak (Microcos tomentosa) at the sapling and pole level with an INP value of 46.989% and 76.5% respectively, and the tree level is dominated by Kedoya (Dysoxylum gaudichaudianum) with an INP of 52.608%. The results of the Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index calculations at various levels of tree growth in the Peson Subah II Nature Reserve forest have H' values, namely the seedling level of 2.785; saplings of 2.294; poles of 2.664; and trees of 2.833.
