Pembingkaian Berita Dampak Sosial Konflik Sudan 2023 pada Media Daring BBC Arabic: Analisis Wacana

Konflik Sudan menjadi salah satu yang terbesar di Afrika. Pada Oktober 2021, terjadi kudeta terhadap Perdana Menteri oleh militer Sudan di bawah pimpinan Abdel Fattah, yang kemudian mengambil alih kendali pemerintahan transisi. Pada 5 April 2023, penandatanganan perjanjian akhir untuk fase pemerintahan transisi gagal untuk kedua kalinya, disebabkan oleh ketidaksepakatan tentara Sudan terhadap pemerintahan sipil dan penolakan mereka terhadap integrasi Pasukan Dukungan Cepat (RSF) ke dalam militer Sudan. Akibatnya, pada 15 April 2023, pecah konflik bersenjata antara kedua kekuatan militer tersebut di kota Khartoum dan Marawi. Konflik tersebut memberikan dampak sosial terhadap masyarakat Sudan sehingga mereka sangat menderita. Konflik tersebut menjadi berita hangat pada situs BBC Arabic, BBC Arabic menjadi salah satu media Arab yang memiliki program khusus untuk menyuarakan penderitaan yang dirasakan oleh masyarakat Sudan karena konflik tersebut. Penelitian ini mengkaji struktur pembingkaian dampak sosial konflik Sudan 2023 pada media daring BBC Arabic. Analisis pembingkaian pada penelitian ini menggunakan teori pembingkaian Pan dan Kosicki (1993) melalui struktur sintaksis, skrip, tematik, dan retoris.

Hasil penelitian ini BBC Arabic berusaha untuk memberikan sikap pro terhadap masyarakat Sudan yang terkena dampak dari konflik yang terjadi antara tentara Sudan dan Tentara RSF. BBC Arabic memfokuskan terhadap kondisi masyarakat dan penyebab terjadinya penderitaan yang dirasakan oleh masyarakat Sudan. Selain itu BBC Arabic juga membahas tentang kurangnya perhatian dari pihak internasional terhadap masyarakat Sudan yang terkena dampak konflik. 

The Sudan conflict is one of the biggest conflicts in Africa. In October 2021, there was a coup against the Prime Minister by the Sudanese military under Abdel Fattah, who then took control of the transitional government. On April 5, 2023, the signing of the final agreement for the transitional government phase failed for the second time, due to the Sudanese army's disagreement with the civilian government and their rejection of the integration of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) into the Sudanese military. As a result, on April 15, 2023, armed conflict broke out between the two military forces in the cities of Khartoum and Marawi. The conflict had a social impact on the Sudanese people so that they suffered greatly. The conflict became hot news on the BBC Arabic website , BBC Arabic became one of the Arab media that had a special program to voice the suffering felt by the Sudanese people because of the conflict. This study examines the framing structure of the social impact of the 2023 Sudan conflict on BBC Arabic online media. The framing analysis in this study uses Pan and Kosicki (1993) framing theory through syntantic, script, thematic and rhetorical structures.

The result of this study is that BBC Arabic is trying to be pro Sudanese people who are affected by the conflict between the Sudan army and the RSF Army. BBC Arabic focuses on the condition of the people and the causes of the suffering felt by the Sudanese people. In addition, BBC Arabic also discusses the lack of attention from the international community towards the Sudanese people affected by the conflict.
