DIGITISASI NASKAH KUNO SEBAGAI UPAYA PRESERVASI DI KOMUNITAS JANGKAH NUSANTARA

Penelitian ini membahas preservasi naskah kuno sebagai arsip bernilai guna sekunder melalui proses digitisasi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses digitisasi pada preservasi naskah kuno, menganalisis hambatan dalam proses digitisasi, dan menganalisis dalam Bagaimana analisis proses digitisasi pada preservasi naskah kuno di Komunitas Jangkah Nusantara.

Penelitian proyek akhir ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif melalui pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknis pengumpulan data penelitian melalui studi pustaka, observasi, dan wawancara. 1) Studi pustaka, literatur mencakup digitisasi naskah kuno, upaya preservasi, dan konteks budaya lokal (community archives), 2) Observasi, observasi non partisipasi dilakukan dengan mengamati penerapan digitisasi naskah kuno 3) wawancara dengan narasumber Tim Digitalisasi

Kesimpulan dari proyek akhir yakni proses digitisasi Komunitas Jangkah Nusantara telah dilakukan mulai tahun 2022 berjalan sesuai sistem yang diciptakan, memiliki Standar Operasional Prosedur tersendiri. Komunitas Jangkah Nusantara merupakan komunitas non profit yang melakukan digitisasi naskah kuno milik masyarakat maupun instansi formal/non formal dengan tahapan 1) ritual wilujengan, 2) pengumpulan informasi, 3) preservasi dasar, 4) persiapan peralatan digitisasi, lalu melakukan 5) proses pengambilan gambar pada objek, terakhir 6) pengelompokan dan penyusunan file yang sudah didapatkan untuk kemudian disimpan sesuai format. Hambatan digitisasi berasal dari internal meliputi keterbatasan peralatan digitisasi dan bahan preservasi, dan keterbatasan kegiatan preservasi digital hasil digitisasi sedangkan hambatan eksternal dari faktor sosial budaya serta lingkungan dari para pemilik naskah kuno. Strategi digitisasi dapat ditingkatkan melalui edukasi terkait perawatan dan penyimpanan naskah kuno kepada masyarakat, serta memperkuat kerja sama dengan instansi akademik, pemerintah dan pihak swasta.

This Final Project discusses the preservation of ancient manuscripts as secondary use-value archives through the digitization process. The research aims to analyze the digitization process in the preservation of ancient manuscripts, analyze the obstacles in the digitization process, and analyze how the digitization process is analyzed in the preservation of ancient manuscripts at the Jangkah Nusantara Community.

This final project research uses qualitative research through a qualitative descriptive approach. Technical research data collection through literature study, observation, and interviews. 1) Literature study, literature includes digitization of ancient manuscripts, preservation efforts, and local cultural contexts (community archives), 2) Observation, non-participatory observation was carried out by observing the application of digitization of ancient manuscripts 3) interviews with resource persons from the Digitization Team.

The conclusion of the final project is that the digitization process of the Jangkah Nusantara Community has been carried out starting in 2022 according to the system created, has its own Standard Operating Procedure. Komunitas Jangkah Nusantara is a non-profit community that digitizes ancient manuscripts belonging to the community and formal/non-formal institutions with the stages of 1) wilujengan ritual, 2) information collection, 3) basic preservation, 4) preparation of digitization equipment, then 5) the process of taking pictures of objects, finally 6) grouping and compiling files that have been obtained to be stored according to format. Digitization barriers come from internal factors including limitations of digitization equipment and preservation materials, and limitations of digital preservation activities of digitized results while external barriers from socio-cultural and environmental factors of ancient manuscript owners. Digitization strategies can be improved through education related to the care and storage of ancient manuscripts to the public, as well as strengthening cooperation with academic institutions, government and private parties.
