NO MORE SEXUAL VIOLENCE: GERAKAN MEDIA SOSIAL DALAM ADVOKASI PERSPEKTIF KORBAN KEKERASAN SEKSUAL (STUDI KASUS @_perEMPUan_ DI INSTAGRAM)

Penelitian ini mengelaborasi bagaimana peran Komunitas perEMPUan dalam mengadvokasi perspektif korban pelecehan dan kekerasan seksual. Komunitas perEMPUan sendiri merupakan gerakan advokasi media sosial pada Instagram yang berfokus pada penyuaraan penanganan dan pencegahan kekerasan maupun pelecehan seksual. Landasan pendirian komunitas ini adalah maraknya pelecehan maupun kekerasan seksual di tengah masyarakat. Dengan metode kualitatif netnografi, telah ditemukan bagaimana peran komunitas ini dalam gerakan sosial. Dalam pengumpulan data, penulis berfokus pada narasi terkait korban pada Instagram @_perEMPUan_, penilikan opini audiens pada kolom komentar, serta wawancara mendalam pada sang founder, Rika Rosvianti atau Neqy. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis mengelompokkan beberapa kategori postingan Komunitas perEMPUan yang dikaji melalui netnografi. Pengelompokkan tersebut diantara lain: (1) relasi antara idola dengan para penggemarnya, (2) kekerasan dalam rumah tangga, (3) blaming the victims, (4) konsep dalam kekerasan dan pelecehan seksual, dan terakhir (5) kekerasan seksual dalam bingkai tragedi. Kerangka teori yang mendasari analisis penulisan ini adalah buah pikir dari George dan Leidner (2019) tentang hirarki aktivisme digital. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat diferensiasi peran antara komunitas dengan audiens digital mereka, khususnya pada Komunitas perEMPUan.

This research elaborates on the role of the community in advocating for the perspective of victims of sexual harassment and violence. The perEMPUan community itself is a social media advocacy movement on Instagram that focuses on voicing the handling and prevention of violence and sexual harassment. The foundation for the establishment of this community is the rampant harassment and sexual violence in the community. With the qualitative netnography method, this research found how crucial this community's role is in social movements. In collecting data, the author focuses on narratives about victims on Instagram @_perEMPUan_, observing audience opinions in the comment column and in-depth interviews with the founder, Rika Rosvianti or Neqy. In this study, the author groups several categories of posts of empowerment that are studied through nethnography. The grouping includes (1) the relationship between idols and their fans, (2) domestic violence, (3) blaming the victims, (4) the concept of violence and sexual harassment, and finally (5) sexual violence in the frame of tragedy. The theoretical framework underlying this writing analysis is the brainchild of George and Leidner (2019) about the hierarchy of digital activism. The results of this study show that there is a differentiation of roles between communities and their digital audiences, especially in the community of people.
