Pengaruh Gel Klorin Dioksida Dengan Tray Sebagai Terapi Tambahan Perawatan Scaling Root Planing Pada Periodontitis Diabetika Kajian Pada Jumlah Koloni Bakteri Anaerob

Scaling root planing (SRP) merupakan perawatan inisial yang mampu mengeliminasi faktor lokal penyebab periodontitis diabetika termasuk koloni bakteri anaerob, namun perlu agen antimikroba dan alat bantu untuk memaksimalkan perawatan inisial tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh gel klorin dioksida dengan tray pada perawatan SRP pada pasien periodontitis Diabetes melitus tipe 2 terhadap jumlah koloni bakteri anaerob. 


Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 30 sampel penderita periodontitis diabetika, yang kemudian dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok, kelompok SRP aplikasi gel klorin dioksida dan tray, kelompok SRP aplikasi gel klorin dioksida, dan kelompok SRP. Sampel diambil dari cairan sulkus gingiva menggunakan paper point selama 30 detik pada hari ke-0, 7, dan 14, kemudian dimasukkan ke dalam tabung Eppendorf steril berisi saline. Sampel ditanam pada agar darah, dimasukkan ke anaerobic jar, dan diinkubasi selama 24 jam kemudian dihitung dengan colony counter. Data dianalisis dengan uji Two-Way Anova. 


Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat penurunan jumlah koloni bakteri anaerob antara kelompok kontrol dengan perlakuan. Aplikasi gel klorin dioksida dan tray paska SRP dapat menurunkan jumlah koloni bakteri anaerob. 







Scaling root planing (SRP) was an initial treatment that aim to eliminate local factor of periodontitis manifestation Diabetes mellitus, including bacteria colonizations. Nevertheless, SRP itself could hardly achieve perfect debridement. This condition required administration of additionals antimicrobial, and an appliance to help the agents to maximize its functions. The aim of this study was to examine the influence of Chlorine dioxide gel with tray as an adjunct to scaling root planning in Periodontitis patient with type 2 Diabetes mellitus to anaerob bacteria colony amount. 


 Research subjects consist of 30 periodontitis manifestation Diabetes mellitus patients, then divided into three groups. First group was SRP and Chlorine dioxide gel with tray group, second group was SRP and Chlorine dioxide gel group, and third group was SRP group. Sample was collected from patient’s gingival sulcular fluid with paper point for 30 seconds, then placed in the sterile Eppendorf tube consist of saline. The sample was collected from day-0, day-7, and day-14. The sample was cultivated into blood agar, placed into anaerobic jar, then incubated for 24 hours. Anaerob bacteria colony amount.was calculated by colony counter. Data was analyzed using two-way ANOVA. 


The result of this study shows that the amount of anaerob bacteria colony was decreasing. SRP with chlorine dioxide gel and tray group could help the amount of anaerob bacteria colony to decrease better than SRP with Chlorine dioxide gel and SRP group .
