Evaluasi Kesehatan dan Risiko Pohon Perindang di Kawasan Universitas Gadjah Mada Bagian Timur

Gadjah Mada University is a campus that implements a green campus system by maintaining green space in the form of shady trees along the main road in the eastern part of the UGM area. These trees play a crucial role in ensuring comfort and safety in the UGM campus area. However, due to the trees' age and extreme weather conditions, they are susceptible to pests and diseases, increasing the risk of falling. As an initial step to anticipate falling trees, a health evaluation and risk assessment of the shading trees are conducted. The health evaluation of individual trees can use a modified 13-point health checklist. Trees categorized as unhealthy are then assessed for risk levels using a basic risk assessment form from the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). The health category and risk level of the shading trees are grouped based on their DBH (Diameter at Breast Height), species, and family. Coordinates of the trees are mapped to identify the spatial distribution of shading trees along with their risk levels. The results showed that out of 767 trees in total, 541 trees (71%) were categorized as healthy and 226 trees (29%) as unhealthy. On the risk level of trees against moving targets, it is known that 169 trees are low risk, 46 trees are medium risk, 9 trees are high risk, and 2 trees are extreme risk. In general, the condition of shade trees along the main road east of UGM is dominated by healthy and non-risk trees. On Pancasila Street, Nusantara Street, Olahraga Street, Sosio Humaniora Street, and Sosio Yustisia Street, trees are dominated by low to moderate risk levels. On Persatuan Street, trees are dominated by high risk levels, and for trees with extreme risk levels, there is 1 on Trengguli Street and 1 on Fauna Street.
