Intimasi ‘Sachet’: Banalitas Relasi Instan pada Aplikasi Lysn di Era Kapitalisme Platform

Platform digital sebagai luaran perkembangan teknologi selalu mencoba menawarkan konsep yang sama, yaitu kemudahan, kecepatan, dan konektivitas bagi berbagai aspek kehidupan sosial masyarakat, salah satunya intimasi. Pada era kontemporer, intimasi dinarasikan sebagai relasi yang mampu dijalin oleh berbagai kelompok masyarakat dalam waktu cepat–menembus batas spasial dan temporal melalui ruang virtual, berbeda dengan konsep intimasi tradisional. Lysn adalah salah satu platform digital yang mengklaim bahwa layanannya mampu membentuk relasi intim antara penggemar dan idola lewat fitur ruang obrolan pribadi dan berbagai konten eksklusif. Namun, intimasi yang dimediasi secara digital berpotensi menciptakan relasi yang banal dan terkesan sebagai hasil replika alih-alih otentik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini berusaha mengelaborasi proses dan potensi ketimpangan relasi kuasa dalam pembentukan narasi intimasi pada relasi penggemar-idola pada Lysn. Kerangka teori dromologi oleh Virilio dan masyarakat platform oleh Van Dijck, Poell, dan de Waal membantu mengungkap kekuatan Lysn dalam membentuk narasi intimasi yang cenderung bersifat instan, penuh manipulasi, dan didasarkan pada model bisnis. Melalui pendekatan DDA (Digital Discourse Analysis) dan teknik analisis multimodal, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tampilan, fitur, konten eksklusif, gaya bahasa, hingga pola komunikasi idola pada aplikasi Lysn mengontrol dan membentuk narasi intimasi yang instan serta terakselerasi. Intimasi instan pada relasi penggemar-idola yang didominasi dengan konsep virtual akan rentan dimanipulasi dan difabrikasi oleh platform. Temuan penelitian ini turut menunjukkan bahwa relasi intim penggemar-idola justru direduksi menjadi proses yang diatur oleh logika kapitalisme platform melalui mekanisme datafikasi, komodifikasi, dan seleksi, dimana penggemar diposisikan sebagai sumber utama akumulasi kapital. Melalui temuan-temuan tersebut, penelitian ini berargumen bahwa narasi intimasi di platform Lysn didasarkan pada keinstanan, dominasi realitas virtual, dan kapitalisme platform.

Digital platforms as an output of technological development are constantly seeking to promote the same concepts of accessibility and connectivity for various aspects of social life in society, one among them being intimacy. In the contemporary era, intimacy is narrated as a connection that can be built by various groups of community members in a short period of time-breaking spatial and temporal boundaries through virtual space, in contrast to the traditional concept of intimacy. Lysn is one of the digital platforms that claims that its services can build intimate relationships between fans and idols through private chat rooms and exclusive content. However, digitally mediated intimacy has the potential to create banal relationships that appear replicable rather than authentic. Therefore, this research seeks to elaborate on the process and possibility of imbalance in power relations in the construction of intimacy discourse in Lysn's fan-idol relationship. The theoretical frameworks of dromology by Virilio and platform society by Van Dijck, Poell, and de Waal help to expose Lysn's power in constructing intimacy discourse which tends to be instantaneous, manipulative, and based on a business model. Through the DDA (Digital Discourse Analysis approach and multimodal analysis techniques, this research concludes that userinterface, features, exclusive content, language style, and idol communication patterns on Lysn control and shape the instant and accelerated intimacy narrative. Instant intimacy in fan-idol relationships based on virtual notions is vulnerable to manipulation and fabrication by the platform.This research findings also show that the intimate fan-idol relationship is reduced to a process controlled by the logic of platform capitalism through the mechanisms of datafication, commodification, and selection, where fans are considered as the main source of capital accumulation. Through these findings, this study argues that the narrative of intimacy on the Lysn platform is based on instantiation, the dominance of virtual reality, and platform capitalism.
