VOLATILITAS HARGA DAN INTEGRASI PASAR AYAM BROILER DI PROVINSI JAWA TENGAH

Provinsi Jawa Tengah merupakan salah satu pusat produksi utama ayam

broiler di Indonesia. Meskipun demikian, fluktuasi harga ayam broiler tidak dapat

terhindarkan. Hal ini, menimbulkan volatilitas dan risiko harga yang dapat

mengancam stabilitas pasar dan menghadirkan tantangan bagi peternak mandiri

dalam merencanakan strategi pemasaran yang tepat. Selain itu, untuk memahami

lebih dalam akar permasalahan ini, volatilitas harga dapat dipengaruhi oleh sejumlah

faktor tertentu atau bahkan disebabkan oleh perbedaan dalam mekanisme pasar

antar lembaga pemasaran ayam broiler di Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Oleh karena itu,

dilakukan pengkajian terkait dengan volatilitas harga dan integrasi pasar ayam broiler

di Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder time series pada

rentang waktu, Januari 2016 hingga Februari 2024. Alat analisis yang digunakan

adalah ARCH-GARCH (Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity dan

Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity), CCV (Conditional

Coefficient Variance), VECM (Vector Eerror Correction Model), dan ECM (Eerror

Correction Model). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) Volatilitas harga ayam

broiler hidup di Provinsi Jawa Tengah dari Januari 2016 hingga Februari 2024

dipengaruhi oleh varian satu periode sebelumnya dan volatilitas satu periode

sebelumnya; (2) Harga ayam broiler hidup di Provinsi Jawa Tengah dari Bulan Januari

2016 sampai Februari 2024 menyimpang sebesar 25,534?ri harga yang

diharapkan dan dapat dikategorikan sebagai risiko rendah; (3) Faktor-faktor yang

mempengaruhi risiko harga ayam broiler hidup di Provinsi Jawa Tengah dalam jangka

panjang yaitu volatilitas harga ayam broiler hidup di Provinsi Jawa Tengah, harga

DOC, suku bunga, nilai tukar rupiah, Inflasi, dan faktor hari-hari besar keagamaan

(Idul fitri dan Idul Adha). Adapun dalam jangka pendek, faktor yang mempengaruhi

risiko harga ayam broiler hidup di Provinsi Jawa Tengah yaitu hanya harga DOC ayam

broiler; (4) Terjadi integrasi pasar antara produsen ayam broiler hidup (peternak)

dengan pengecer daging ayam broiler di Provinsi Jawa Tengah baik dalam jangka

panjang maupun dalam jangka pendek.

Jawa Tengah Province is one of the main broiler production centers in

Indonesia. Despite this, fluctuations in broiler prices are inevitable. This creates price

volatility and risk that can threaten market stability and present challenges for

independent farmers in planning appropriate marketing strategies. In addition, to

better understand the root of this problem, price volatility may be influenced by several

specific factors or even caused by differences in market mechanisms between broiler

marketing institutions in Jawa Tengah Province. Therefore, a study related to price

volatility and market integration of broiler chicken in Jawa Tengah Province was

conducted. This study uses secondary time series data from January 2016 to

February 2024. The analytical tools used are ARCH-GARCH (Autoregressive

Conditional Heteroskedasticity and Generalized Autoregressive Conditional

Heteroskedasticity), CCV (Conditional Coefficient Variance), VECM (Vector Error

Correction Model), and ECM (Error Correction Model). The results showed that; (1)

The volatility of live broiler prices in Jawa Tengah Province from January 2016 to

February 2024 is influenced by the variance of one previous period and the volatility

of one previous period; (2) The price of live broilers in Jawa Tengah Province from

January 2016 to February 2024 deviates by 25.534% from the expected price and

can be categorized as low risk; (3) Factors affecting the risk of live broiler prices in

Jawa Tengah Province in the long term are the volatility of live broiler prices in Jawa

Tengah Province, DOC prices, interest rates, rupiah exchange rates, inflation, and

factors of religious holidays (Idul fitri and Idul Adha). In the short term, the only factor

that affects the risk of live broiler prices in Jawa Tengah Province is the price of broiler

DOC; (4) There is market integration between live broiler producers (farmers) and

broiler meat retailers in Jawa Tengah Province in the long term and the short term.
