Pengaruh suplementasi Fe terhadap presentasi belajar anak Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Indrajaya Kabupaten Pidie Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam

2004 | Tesis | S2 Ilmu Kesehatan MasyarakatLatar belakang: Permasalahan yang dihadapi anak usia sekolah dasar saat ini adalah kurangnya kadar Hemoglobin darah, sehingga mengakibatkan kurangnya oksigen yang ditransport ke sel tubuh dan otak, sehingga anak menimbulkan rasa letih, lelah dan lesu, akibatnya prestasi belajar menurun. Intervensi Fe merupakan salah satu cara yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin dalam darah. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu penelitian tentang pengaruh pemberian suplemen Fe terhadap prestasi belajar anak sekolah dasar. Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian suplemen Fe terhadap prestasi belajar anak sekolah dasar di kecamatan Indrajaya kabupaten Pidie. Cara penelitian: Jenis penelitian adalah Quasi Experiment dengan rancangan Pre Post test control Group. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Indrajaya Kabupaten Pidie. Besar subjek 52 anak perkelompok. Data kadar hemoglobin darah diukur dengan metoda Cyanmethemoglobin, data prestasi belajar diukur berdasarkan nilai caturwulan dan semester, data intake zat gizi diukur dengan metode recall 3X24 jam, data status gizi dengan pengukuran antropometri. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Uji T-test dan chi-square program SPSS. Hasil: Kadar Hemoglobin dan Prestasi belajar sebelum diberikan suplemen Fe antara kelompok Perlakuan dan kontrol tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna. Sesudah suplemen Fe kadar hemoglobin dan pretasi belajar pada kelompok perlakuan mengalami peningkatan yang bermakna, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol adanya peningkatan, tapi tidak bermakna , baik kadar hemoglobin maupun prestasi belajar. Kesimpulan: Pemberian suplemen Fe dapat membantu meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin darah dan meningkatkan prestasi belajar.
Background : The poor condition of haemoglobin level among elementary students leads to the lack of oxygen that is transferred to body cell and brain. This condition may cause fatigue among students and lead to the decreasing of their study achievement. Iron supplementation is one of the effective ways which is able to increase haemoglobin level among elementary students. Objective : The study was purposed to know the influence of iron supplementation toward the study achievement of elementary students in Indrajaya, Pidie, Nanggro Aceh Darussalam. Study Design : This was quasi experimental with pre and post test control group study. Subjects were 52 elementary students per group. The data of haemoglobin level were measured with Cyanmethemoglobin (HbCN), students achievements with quarterly and semester values report, nutrition intake with 3X24 hours recall, and nutrition status with antropometry. Data were analysed with T-test and chi-square of SPSS program. Result : Hb level and students achievement before supplementation between case and control group were not significantly different. Hb level and students achievement of case group after treatment was significantly increased while in control group were not both Hb level and students achievement. Conclusion : Iron supplementation was able to increase Hb level and students achievement.
