PENGARUH PREDIKSI PROFITABILITAS TERKAIT ESG SCORE TERHADAP EFISIENSI BIAYA DAN RISIKO INVESTASI PADA PERUSAHAAN YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA

Penelitian ini berbeda dengan banyak penelitian sebelumnya yang mengaitkan skor ESG dengan nilai perusahaan. Pada penelitian ini, penulis menitikberatkan pengaruh skor ESG terhadap risiko yang ditanggung oleh investor. Dengan penelitian ini, diharapkan perusahaan yang menerapkan ESG dapat menurunkan risiko investasi. Parameter pada penelitian ini dilihat dari pengaruh skor ESG yang secara tidak langsung memengaruhi performa perusahaan dan kemudian akan memengaruhi cost of equity dari perusahaan tersebut. Selain keterkaitan ESG dengan risiko investasi, penelitian ini juga melihat keterkaitan ESG dengan biaya operasi perusahaan. Pada penelitian ini penulis juga meneliti efisiensi operasional perusahaan lewat efisiensi yang dijalankan oleh perusahaan setelah penerapan ESG dalam kegiatan operasional sehari-hari. Dengan menggunakan data perusahaan non-finansial di Indonesia pada tahun 2016-2022, didapatkan hasil bahwa prediksi skor ESG memengaruhi efisiensi perusahaan secara positif dan secara tidak langsung memengaruhi cost of equity.

This research is different from many previous studies that link ESG scores to company value. In this research, the author focuses on the influence of ESG scores on the risks borne by investors. With this research, it is hoped that companies that implement ESG can reduce investment risk. The parameters in this research are seen from the influence of the ESG score which indirectly affects the company's performance and will then influence the company's cost of equity. Apart from the relationship between ESG and investment risk, this research also looks at the relationship between ESG and company operational risk. In this research, the author also examines the company's operational efficiency through the efficiency carried out by the company after implementing ESG in daily operational activities. By using data on non-financial companies in Indonesia in 2016-2022, the results showed that ESG scores are positively influence company efficiency and indirectly affect the cost of equity.
